Sadly they have permanently closed this restaurant. So we went to the one on Blanding. It was horrible ðŸ˜ðŸ˜žðŸ˜ðŸ˜ž

My wife and I decided to have lunch at the Sam's on Normandy. We both ordered grilled mahi and grilled shrimp. The mahi was almost fair and the shrimp were bait shrimp and burnt. They were consistent both orders of shrimp were burnt. Broccoli was okay. I got green beans and they looked like they were cooked with bacon and a bit of bacon grease ( no such luck, how do you screw up green beans). 1 of my hush puppies looked like someone took a bite out of it. Total meal came to $50 and change. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. We would have been better off eating at Captain D'S. If you pass by this place pass on by.

I ordered the salmon with rice pilaf and sweet potato fries from the lunch menu. This was my first time eating here so I don't want to be too harsh off of one experience but everything was very dry and hard to eat. My order was not a difficult order to cook and I'm disappointed with the experience all the way around. I wish this restaurant nothing but the best but I doubt I will return.

Used to be a great place one of our favorites until our Recent visit really changed my experience. Waitress was no where to be found multiple times. Found out later we were upcharged on all our side dishes on all of are meals but never told us. Didn't want us to add in the tip like a normal place but wanted cash instead Even though we only order 2 sides per the menu that said two sides if that's normal then ok but atleast let us know. The food was OK but definitely not worth the price + the upcharges imo. The floors are horrible imo. Just seems like the love and care this place used to show just wasn't as much as used to be.

Ordered a platter for 2 when he came home the grits was watery the fish I barely touched it broke like it was cake did not feel done called and ask for a manager he was nice nasty was trying to explain his response what Iam supposed to do over the phone I get it not much you can do but yet wasn’t trying to explain why my food looked the way it did I wasn’t trying to get free food i simply was just explaining my concerns don’t think Iam going back the food was almost $60 and Iam usually simple and not a complainer but for that money I wasn’t happy I still lost because I didn’t even eat the food when I got back home with that nasty manager got me out the mood.

Have you ever walked in a restaurant and sense that somewhere close by, banjos are playing? We thought about leaving and going anywhere else but decided to stay and see if we found a gem. Wrong choice. The staff was friendly and service was good. The entrees were low grade mediocre at best. From a hair cooked into the battered clam strips, to tiny pieces of chicken in the alfredo, and the rest of the battered seafood not having any flavor, dinner was a disappointment. However, the baked beans and green beans were quite tasty. They menu boasts of homemade key lime and peanut butter pies. We were reluctant to believe it since the crab cakes (at a seafood restaurant) contain imitation crab. Maybe it was an off day but we doubt it. Save your $$ and eat elsewhere.

Loved the food and the service!!!! I had two others in my party and they raved about the food and service as well. I had the baby fried shrimp, a baked potato and coleslaw slaw, along with the hush puppies that came with meal...you'd think it would be the standard, average meal at a seafood restaurant, right??? NOPE! It was, by far, some of the best fried shrimp I ever had! Believe me, once you're eating the fantastic food, you wont be thinking of anything else but trying to figure out how to shove more in your mouth as quickly as humanly possible - I know, I paint a pretty picture, don't I? Classy... :)
Anyway, the restaurant was nice - very clean, the atmosphere of a family restaurant and packed - a sure sign the food is great! AND we got seated quickly. This place is AWESOME! You are definitely going to want to check them out!
