San Jose Deli & Grill

Honestly I went here on a whim and it was a huge mistake.
The lady at the counter was very intimidating and commanding. When the food came out, the sub I ordered was absolutely lathered in Italian sauce, making the entire sandwich taste like an oil bath.
On top of the bad sandwich, the store itself was quiet and sad, the atmosphere just felt off.

Got order to go. Super pleasant staff. San Jose sub and Ham Turkey club were GREAT!!! A definite go to place! Gotta go try the rest of the menu!

The Buckman what's the most delicious sub I've ever had .. don't forget the snacks in the glass case they are very delicious

If you’re over in the San Jose/ Old St. Augustine/ Sunbeam area stop by for breakfast or lunch at San Jose Deli & Grill. It’s a great little deli tucked away on Old St. Augustine just off of San Jose. Fanika is the new owner and she’s a lovely lady. Keeps the place neat & clean and the food hot & delicious. Stop in & fill your tummy with made -to-order hot & cold items or if you’re in a rush, there’s grab-n-go cold drinks, chips and other snacks to get you back on the road quickly. Either way, it’s all delicious!!?

Ordered a sausage, egg and cheese pita with home fries. Sausage was microwave sausage and was undercooked, cheese was not melted. How hard is it to grill sausage?

I had the buckman sub and it was delicious!! The bread and meat were so fresh, better than any sub I’ve had from a chain restaurant.

Food tasted very weird . Whatever they use on the steak is not good . I ordered a canal Ryder and it was not what I expected … I did not like my cold sandwich on pita bread … and had TONS of Italian dressing in it … not a good first impression .

Update : they charged my card 40$ and my meal was 20$

Great deli food; I got the turkey club with fries that was the lunch special and was impressed at how good it was. Exceeded my simple expectations and was undoubtedly delicious. I also got some baklava for desert and was very satisfied.The workers and owners were very friendly as well.10/10 would come back again ?
