Hello Shawarma Express team,

I am writing to share a very disappointing experience that occurred tonight, December 21, at approximately 9:40 PM.

According to your Google listing, your Jacksonville location is open until 11:00 PM on Sundays. Based on that information, my wife, my baby, and I drove from St. Johns County specifically to eat at your restaurant. When we arrived, the doors were locked. While standing outside, we could clearly see staff inside waving at us and laughing, fully aware that customers were present.

No one came to the door to explain that you had closed early or to apologize for the inconvenience. We were simply ignored. This left us embarrassed, frustrated, and forced to leave with no food after a long drive late at night with a child.

I have eaten at your restaurant many times in the past and never experienced anything like this. The issue is not only the incorrect hours listed online, but the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism from the staff.

If your hours have changed, they should be updated immediately. More importantly, customers should never be treated this way. A simple explanation would have gone a long way.

I would appreciate a response from management and believe a complimentary meal is a fair way to make up for this experience. Otherwise, this incident reflects very poorly on customer service standards.

Some of the Best Food in Jacksonville and with such an eclectic menu from Middle Eastern to Venezuelan cuisine, you will enjoy a combination of flavors upon each visit and you can Thank Me Later.

On a personal note: I am So proud of the success and growth from the family behind Shawarma XpressJax! From selling plates and platters from home during the pandemic, getting a food truck and now with their Brick and Mortar with dine in option is Amazing .

Amazing food and amazing service! I came here with my family and we were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I had the falafel shawarma with passion fruit juice and some tequenos to share. So flavorful!

Latin version of shawarma is not something we liked. Huge quantity and lots of meat is served. We were hoping for Mediterranean taste and that was served.

This no longer a food truck, but rather a sit down restaurant. Excellent food, fresh and tasty. Establishment is clean, and service is good. If shawarma isn't your thing that's ok, they offer a variety of Venezuelan dishes on their menue. I highly recommend you give them a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
