Soul Food Bistro

I think this was the place mentioned in the Katt Williams sketch and if so… he is 100% right about this place. It’s amazing! It’s got a chill environment with friendly service and the chicken was seasoned well, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese had both great texture and taste as well. I don’t live on this side of JAX but I’m definitely gonna make it a regular thing to come here when I find myself west of the river!

Me and my son came here for lunch/dinner. First time eating here, but my son has been here before. Let me tell you. OMG, they did their thing. The food was on point. I had smothered porkchop dinner and my son had a fish dinner. For dessert I has a slice of strawberry cake and my son had bread pudding. The food was flavored and seasoned just right. I most definitely will be back every time I come to visit my son in Jacksonville

Jean was amazing. I picked up a catering order and he carefully loaded it into the trunk and made sure I didn't leave without double checking that I had all my items. Very friendly, respectful. I will go here again for catering needs

It's a must stop place to go if you're going to or driving past Jacksonville, FL. Close to I-10 or 295. Fried chicken is to die for. I highly recommend it.

This used to be a spot I bragged on. The quality has taken a great dive and it is very disappointing. I hope that they can bring some of those old school cooks back because the secret ingredient is missing...LOVE!

Best place for Soul Food in Jacksonville Florida. Don't waste your time trying other places. Very accommodating. I came for some wings 20 minutes before closing and they were out. The line guy had the chef drop some chicken just for me.

The oxtail's were amazingly delicious and tender!! Let’s just say my entire family didn’t have the first complaint! Best SWEET TEA and cornbread ever!

Everyone was good up until I had to pay the women at the registers was very rude they didn’t want to apply my military discount and I showed them my military ID. A woman with tattoos and red hair said that I wasn’t allowed to use a military discount I fight for this country and I can’t get a military discount that’s ridiculous.

Netty is the nastiest woman you will ever have to deal with in there. The food is great but she ruins it for me. Please put her somewhere else! She has no kindness in her bones.

The young lady serving the dessert was inattentive. No personality and gave my dessert to the wrong person because she was not listening and seem to be ignoring us.
