Brought my food out to me as I was attempting to stop a tow truck from taking away my car. Bomb cold brew and California Bagel Sandwich though. And it’s super cute inside. I love you guys 😭

Only stopped in for coffee and pastry with a friend. Espresso chip brownie was sweeter than I liked but dense and fudgy. Chocolate croissant was delightful but would have benefitted from being warmed. We had a pair of cappuccinos that arrived lukewarm and a drip coffee that was perfect. Space is wide open and on the communal side, a bit echo-ey making conversations hard to hear. Service was excellent.

You get a verity of choices for lunch and dinner. You have healthy meals to choose from. All great, with a nice selection of wine as well.

The coffee was good but not quite what I was looking for. The caramel chocolate chip cookie was good but not $5 good and the chocolate twist was delightful so id say worth the money spent for that. My daughter got a milk and said she loved it.

I am known to be a tough crowd & I don’t think I’ve ever had a better breakfast… ever! Everything we had was delicious. Tried the Nutter Butter, eggs Benedict, breakfast burrito & French toast. Coffee was good, service was pleasant. This place is definitely not too miss!

One of my favorite spots in all of Jacksonville

Southern Grounds became a staple for me when I first moved to Jacksonville about three years ago. I didn’t know anyone in the city, and the staff here truly made me feel like family. They greet me by name, remember my order, and consistently make me feel welcome. Those little interactions made such a difference when I was new and feeling like a loner in a big city.

The shop itself is cozy and inviting with great food, amazing coffee, and creative seasonal menus. I recommend it to every out-of-towner. The atmosphere works for everything—quiet solo mornings, meetings, studying, brunch dates, birthdays, or just hanging out. My family even plans their visits around stopping here; it’s the only place they’ll go for breakfast and coffee.

Southern Grounds will always be a staple for me as long as I live in Jax—it’s more than just a coffee shop. The only downsides are that it’s a bit pricey and parking can be a disaster during peak hours, but honestly, it’s always worth it. The quality has never slipped, and the staff continues to be incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic coffee and breakfast for a business meet up. Ample space inside. I had their version of a red eye and it was popping plus the Greek omelette was big and meaty - just the way to start the day! Really friendly wait staff as well. Very knowledgeable and helpful. It's a tad on the pricier side but still a nice treat
