Unfortunately, this place has gone in the toilet. They are ALWAYS out of product. I would understand right now, bc of storm issues, etc, but this has been going on for a long time. Exposed crack filling foam all around the menu on wall is off putting as well. Unfortunately, this is the only Subway in my area of Mandarin. I’ve been a loyal customer to this location for years but I won’t be back after this visit.

Stopped here today to grab some subs on the way to the beach. Dre did an excellent job building our sandwiches and taking care to wrap the footlong separately for our kids. I appreciate his kindness and attention to detail. He looked to be the only one working but he didn’t rush our order as more people came in behind us.

Went there looking for a tray, so I hadany questions about it. Staff did not know how to answer, they were looking at each other and they decided they needed to make a phone call. Seeing that they were clueless I decided to buy 5 subways and cut them at home, put them on a plastic tray. The food was really good. The place is way too small for the amount of people that gets there, the sun hits the glassdoor so hard in the afternoon that is impossible to see inside. The new footlong churro was very interesting but they were out.

The sub and the customer service was very good. They only have 1 diet option on fountain. Add coke zero or diet Dr pepper. I will never give 5 stars for stores with only 1 diet fountain option.

Uber Eats order - they didn’t have one of the sandwiches - no offer to add a different one or anything and told my driver they don’t refund. Absolutely the worst response and must be a one off with a bad employee.

I lost my receipt and decided to just forget about it but as I was deleting pics, I came across the pics I took of the Outlaw sub I got from this Subway restaurant on 3/8/24, at about 1:30 pm. The a/c was out and it was hot in the restaurant. There was someone there who was working on something in the overhead so... The 2 guys preparing the food were polite and professional. The one, asked my order. I ordered the Outlaw. I advised him that I had not had one before so just make it like the pics in the commercials. He gave me an enthusiastic, "yes sir." The sub I got was emaciated. You could see nothing but a sub roll that appeared empty. Pics don't lie... I was so disappointed. But everyone knows that you don't complain and then ask for a remake... Plus, I'd missed breakfast and was starving - and the subs in the Subway commercial had me on one.

The Subway at San Jose is by far the best in Jacksonville. Mat is unmatched in drive, personal responsibility, and genuine humanity. I’ve been to more subways than I can count and my consistent issue is workers who can’t find a way to enjoy themselves, make terrible sandwiches, and are blatantly apathetic to the way they make my food. I return to this subway roughly once a week because my sandwich is always perfect and I have a great conversation with a smart, ambitious young man. I pray Mat’s superior excellence is not overlooked.
