At Sushi & Sub, don't let the exterior fool you. This hidden gem serves very good food at great prices. The owner, a sweet and passionate person, lovingly prepares each dish, including generous sushi rolls with at least 12 pieces for $10 or less. Although the sign mentions sushi and subs, most customers come for the sushi, which is truly special. The owner has been at this location for 21 years and really knows what she is doing. The restaurant is mostly take-out, with a small dining area that might not impress a date or business guest. Parking is plentiful, mostly near the entrance, and the restaurant is located next to the UPS Store.

The food stands out with fresh, flavorful sushi such as the California Roll, which is more tasty than usual, and the Southsider, a unique mix of savory, crunch, spice, and sweet. Many customers find the sushi so good that they cannot stop eating it, often finishing the entire roll and even licking their plates clean. The soy sauce provided is Kikkoman dark soy in small packets to take away. Overall, the warm atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food make Sushi & Sub a favorite spot for many. The inside might look a little sketchy, but the place is clean and the staff friendly. The experienced sushi chef makes great sushi, and the prices are excellent. Many say the sushi is better than some 5-star restaurants, and it is made fresh as you order. Taking out is recommended since the dine-in setup isn’t the best, but the quality and taste are worth trying.
