I placed a cake order for our 50th birthday from a picture I found on Pinterest & Malina made it exactly the same it was not only a stunning cake but so fresh and delicious too, thank u for a wonderful cake, answering all my questions & the love put into our beautiful cake.
Had a lovely lunch yesterday. Service was great. My daughter and I ordered the chicken salad sandwiches with nuts and cranberries. They were delicious. My husband had the grilled cheese sandwich. Desserts looked yummy. That will have to wait until our next visit to Green Cove Springs.
We had seen something that said that they now had some gluten free items, which I need to have if I’m having any kind of baked goods. I asked the lady at the counter specifically about GF bread and desserts and was told they really didn’t have any. She recommended I have chicken salad or shepherd’s pie, that day’s special. It was a real shame they didn’t have any GF offerings, because we used to stop there before I developed this condition, and their sandwiches and desserts were great! I would recommend they include at least one GF bread and one GF dessert to expand this choice to those who need it.
We were able to view menu online, order and pickup with a 20 minute wait and take back to our B&B! So many choices and all the food was delicious. We had Rueben, Club and Cuban Sandwiches. Will not disappoint!
Stopped here with my mom to have lunch and it was very good. They have a good variety of sandwiches to get. Also, the cakes and cookies looked amazing and will be getting some in my next visit
Love this place! Great staff that always takes care of us. I like fried chicken with beans and rice. Get the Creole Cheesecake!
What began as a great dining experience quickly deteriorated into the worst experience I’ve had recently largely due to ‘hospitality’ manager, Tyler Brantley. We placed our order with a server who did an excellent job; however, he was trying to serve a large party in a private room and customers outside the room. We waited and waited for our order so I had to seek out a manager (Tyler) who brought our appetizer and complimentary biscuits - without so much as an apology for the delay nor did he or anyone else return to check on us to ensure we received our entree. A party of 5 came after us, were served and departed before we did. I asked for Tyler, expressed my displeasure (both with him and the service) and requested the general manager’s information-he was rude, spoke while I was speaking - so I ultimately asked him to stop speaking and just give me the information I’d requested. He never returned with the information. I regret spending money and time here, and will never return to this establishment! A simple apology for the delay with attention to getting us our meal was all we required but Tyler could care less about granting us that respect. Utterly disgusting experience!
Just had the Gumbo, really good! The jumbalaya was good and the catfish side was amazing! Sure to return here many more times, infact everytime I am at JAX
Sweet Sensations has the best pot roast you have ever eaten. Their salads are good also. Can’t say I have ever had a bad meal at Sweet Sensations. Try a desert the cakes are great too.
The 'Daily Special' billboard, at the entrance revealed, Oysters @ $19.99 a dozen. This establishment should have paid me to endure their oysters! The dozen arrived at my table and each oyster could fit on top of my thumb and not covered it. In addition, I specifically requested extra cocktail sauce and they provided cold marinara tomato sauce. The saltine crackers, though sealed in cellophane, were moist and soggy. But wait, it doesn't stop there! The utensils provided were a dinner fork and a steak knife; try using those two items to remove the oyster from its' shell! If I did not have to prominent guests with me, I would have refused to pay for my lunch appetizer. Respectfully, Dr. Wellington C. Morton

Great restaurant. We had amazing food. The service was excellent. Their banana fosters cheesecake was so delicious. I highly recommend them.
We’re exploring. Decided to try something new. Glad we went! The blackened chicken po boy was HUGE (see pic)! I saved my wing sauce from our appetizer and it was really good. Not spicy at all on its own (I like more heat, but it’s preference). The hubs shared his chicken Parmesan....who orders that at a Cajun place? Well, I’ll be back for the chicken Parmesan! That is a must have. Biscuits are great. Fries are beer battered. Not sure that needs further explanation, because, well, beer batter. And sauces/dressings are made in house!
Had to get out for some dinner. Chose this spot. Crabcakes beignets as an appetizer was awesome. Biscuits and Honey butter hit the mark. Red beans and rice with fried catfish was excellent. I had Grilled Salmon with crawfish rice and sweet mashed potatoes. All of it was seasoned just right.
My husband and I arrived for a late lunch during the reopening phase. The special was meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a roll. He received the last one at 1:30 in the afternoon. After tasting it, I understood why. The meatloaf was moist and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were real and you could taste the rich cream and butter. The gravy was thick and full of beefy flavor. Too bad he left to use the bathroom! I ordered the Greek Salad. It was full of a high quality of feta cheese, bits of salami and ham, along with greek olives. The homemade dressing was perfect. It added just the right amount of acidity to the salad. I ate it all. Though we did not eat dessert (there was no room), many of the customers that came through the door took it home. By the time we left, there was hardly any left. My husband swears that they make the best pot roast he has ever tasted. If you pass through here, stop. You won't regret it.
Very average and we were expecting more. It started when I asked for the gumbo as an appetizer and they were out. My wife had the crab stuffed catfish and thought it was good. I had the red beans and rice with catfish. I did not think the catfish was very tasty and was overcooked and fried. I guess was expecting it to be broiled and was disappointed. Nothing was outstanding as the reviews had led us to believe. Very average
