Delicious! I ordered 2 empanadas and an order of jerk pork, with rice and beans and plantains for my wife and I. Everything was super favorful. Definitely will return.Only downside was that they werent open when I arrived. Their hours said 11a-8p, and when I arrived at 1140, there was a sign on the door that they were not opening until Noon that day, so I had to use most of my lunch break, just waiting 20 minutes for them to open. Dont know how often that happens, though. Other than that the food was out in about 10 minutes and it fantastic.
Taste of Jamaica is the BEST Jamaican food in Jacksonville Florida period. To find better you would have to go into an old Jamaican grandma's kitchen. The food is seasoned. The oxtail is delicious and tender, the pork cooked tender ,and delicious. Even the chicken patty is seasoned and delicious. The prices and the service are great. In this day and age when everyone is trying to cook oxtail and giving Caribbean food a bad name. Taste of Jamaica brings the pride and deliciousness back to Caribbean food. A MUST TRY.

The young lady at the front counter was very nice. I waited about 30 to 40 minutes for my food and I got it it smelled bad. I ordered fish so I thought that fish smelled overly fishy. I ordered Mac and cheese and peas and rice both were nasty; the Mac and cheese didn’t taste like Mac and cheese it taste like the peas and rice. I feel like I wasted money because I couldn’t eat it, the food was just that bad, I ended up throwing the entire plate away. I bought this veggie tarry drink it was so good. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

I’m so excited to find this place! Absolutely delicious oxtails.
Too damn good!! I usually go early evenings but this time I went, it was almost til closing. I'm surprised that the oxtail meal was still tasty as if I had ordered my meal in the morning. Basically, I did not expect the food to be fresh and tasty at that time. Makes me very happy. Deff recommend!!

Hands down best food I've had from a Jamaican spot !!! The oxtail were absolutely amazing nice and tender , rice was cooked perfectly, plantains were to my liking ! My spouse got jerk chicken and a curry chicken pattie which I had to sample it was so good ! My daughter ordered curry shrimp pretty good
