I tried the Sweet & Spicy fried chicken, the cheese hot dog and the sweet pancake and everything was SO GOOD! I kept hearing about this place for so long from several of my friends, so I finally decided to give it a go and it did not disappoint at all. The only thing tho, and the reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is that we did have to wait like over 20 mins for our food :/ I will say, it was a Saturday evening so maybe that’s why ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But despite this, I’m 100% coming back!

When I was a kid, I was definitely into hot wheels cars. At 99 cents per car, I couldn't get enough of them. Whether they were small versions of actual vehicles in production, or crazy dragsters or monster themed or anything else the wizards at Mattel could come up with, I wanted them all. You know what I didn't really want or collect as a kid? Trucks. Sorry Tonka. But I just didn't care about dump trucks or bulldozers or big rigs. And you know what, I kind of felt that way as an adult about food trucks. I mean, to me they were fine, but like my penchant for hot wheels in the past, I'd rather go to a sit down restaurant. Yeah, well Taste of Korea has me rethinking my food truck aversion! Located in a pretty ordinary parking lot on Beach Blvd, this is definitely a little food truck that can deliver some fantastic food! The guy taking orders is super friendly and patient as a noob like me tried to figure out what to order. Ultimately went with the Premium Doshirak, the bibimbap and the kimbap. For both the doshirak and the bibimbap I got the bulgogi beef for the protein. On the kimbap I tried the ham. All were excellent. The Doshirak is a cool box filled with banchan - small side dishes, and cooked rice. The banchan include Kimche, Japchae, fried dumplings and some cool desserts. The blogs is excellent and all of the banchan tasted great. I thought the eggplant was a little mushy but the flavor was still really good. Bibimbap flavor was excellent as well. The only downside is that the rice at the bottom doesn't get all crunchy from being cooked at the bottom of the hot bowl. But it was a minor issue to me. And the kimbap was super fresh. The ham wasn't overpowering and it was a nice change from getting role bulgogi in the kimbap as well. The only wish I have is more variation on the proteins for the dishes we got. But the food is super tasty and I look forward to going back to try the fried chicken and well, anything else on the menu. Maybe I'll bring a matchbox car or two to help pass the time while waiting for the food!

BEST KOREAN FOOD IN JAX!!! Get the Regular or Premium Dosirak with your choice of protein to try a little bit of everything! I also recommend getting the Holleok (sweet pancakes) for dessert! Delicious & authentic! This food truck can be POPPIN' so you will most likely have to wait around 20-30+ minutes for your food, but it's worth it.

Oh my goodness, this was soooo good. Our first time trying Korean food and boy are we hooked. We had those beef bulgogi with many sides along with the corn dogs. My toddler devoured everything as well. Literally cannot say enough good things. Service was nice as well. Highly recommend!

Excellent customer service. Is service slow? Yes. Deal with it if you want the delicious food. I mean, it's a good truck and one person is back there manning it and they have plenty of smiles for you to be compensated with. Korean corn dog is excellent. The FANCY box is also excellent. My husband loves the japchae here. It's second only to the japchae served at the Korean market counter. Go. You won't regret it. If you do, bring me your food and I'll eat it!

$18 fried chicken dish was excellent. Very professional and friendly staff. Prepare for a wait at peak hours/weekends.

its authentic, home made korean food in an aesthetic package. service is a little slow (we waited 45 minutes for two premium boxes) because its always poppin', and everything is fresh. location is a little out there and the parking lot can get cramped so get there early. plan to eat in your car due to either weather or lack if seats

I legit love this place. I wish it was closer to me. Def don't mind driving to it but I've only had it once and it was great. I went with fam so was able to try a little but of everything. We ordered the kimbap, 2 of the bento sets, one was premium, the fried chicken and korean corn dog. Let me just say I'm craving that corn dog as it was my very first one I've tried. The kimbap was a good size and packed, love that. Wings were awesome too. Both lunch boxes, we got beef bulgogi and the banchan and little treat, jellies at the end tied it all together very well. Packaging of the bento were also so cute.Everything was flavorful, fresh and satisfied my cravings. Im looking to come back in the future as I love Korean food. They do have a seating area if you want to eat it there by their truck.

The fooood is so delicious!! I'm not sure what Brian S. Was talking about when they said it lacked salt because Koreans don't need salt. The flavor is in the sauce and the umami is there. We got the #4 as well and it was bursting with flavor and the pickled side complemented the food nicely. Loved the ambiance of the place too. It's easy to get to and it's family owned, meaning they're very welcoming and are very friendly.
