Nice happy hour cocktails and good food. Our cocktails were great. My wife got the burger and it was a solid 5/5. I got the Steak Frites; Fries were great, the steak not so much. It was cooked fine (med-rare), but it just wasn't that flavorful or good texturely. Not bad, but just not 5 stars.
Otherwise, service, ambience, and cocktails were awesome! I'd go again, would just avoid the hanger steak.

The place is very nice and cozy but there is no ambient music which makes people shout a lot and it is the only thing you can hear. The patatas bravas are far from being patatas bravas, not recommended, they are not good, and the aioli tastes like nothing. The risotto lacks truffle. The food overall is a 2 out of 5, which is a shame because the place is beautiful and in a very good area. The service is really good!

In town for Jacksonville Shootout tournament. This restaurant was 10min from hotel and we found it on the first night. Came back all 3 days we were here…when you find something awesome, don’t F with it. Filet mignon, scallops and salmon all knockouts!! Kids love the spaghetti meatballs. Just the perfect place for all ages and tastes. Truly amazing. ??

Food was great but small portions on the salad. Service was good apart from them getting our reservations mixed up. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed and sociable. The manager there also manages Oceana - she is freaking awesome ??!!!!!!

Wow the food was exceptional. I had the steak frites, and the steak wasn’t just perfectly cooked (which it was), but it was literally perfect, melt in your mouth. It was by far the best steak I’ve had so far in Jacksonville. For a smaller establishment they’ve done really well with the layout of the space. We went at the dinner rush and half of the table ordered steak so it was additionally impressive that it was all cooked perfectly. The only note I would have is that maybe they would want you to consider more ambient lighting but altogether a wonderful dining experience and I’m looking forward to returning.

Last minute decision to stop in for late dinner on a Friday night. Although they seemed busy we were seated immediately. Nice atmosphere, bit loud but that did not ruin our time. After receiving our drinks we placed our order. We went only with entrees, since it was later in the evening and we wanted to stop at Dreammette's for dessert. My daughter ordered the short ribs and I ordered the scallops. It took over an hour for our meals to come out. About 30-40 minutes into our wait the server brought out 2 small rolls with 3 balls of frozen butter. She never provided an update on our meal or asked if we wanted our water or drinks topped off. When the food finally came out...it was warm not hot. We both thought everything was ok. The dinner portion was 5 very small scallops with a generous portion of risotto that was over salted on one side of the dish, like maybe it was added at the very end. The short ribs were good but a bit greasy. For the price I guess we expected a little more. We might give them another try but it won't be anytime soon.
This was my first time having dinner at Taverna. The service was amazing along with the dinner. When I arrived to meet my party, I was met with a warm welcome from the hostess, which really set the tone, our server was very sweet and knowledgeable of the menu, which I appreciated.
The ribeye special was very good. It was cooked to perfection. I loved the mashed potatoes and asparagus that came with the steak.
My Cosmo drink was very tasty and mixed very well.
I would definitely be back to try other menu items and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My first visit to Taverna was fantastic! The Halibut special, served with saffron risotto and piquillo sauce, was incredible—a wonderful blend of flavors and vibrant colors. The presentation was stunning! We also tried the Chicken Fettuccine with tomato, which was delicious. The olive appetizer was delightful, with olives that had a mild, pleasant flavor.
