Absolutely fantastic every time we visit. Great food Great service, just a Absolutely amazing dining experience. If you haven't, you must.
This was our first and will be our last experience at this Texas de Brazil for several reasons. From the time we arrived and walked to our table along a very slippery and greasy floor to the salad bar that looked like it had been sitting idle all day, our experience was less than desirable. Once at the table, my husband noticed a clump of hair folded up in the napkin sitting in front of him on the table which the server took away and provided a new one. The meats were mostly cooked to well done and lacked flavor. When we did get a slice of medium-rare meat, it too was lacking flavor. The Brazilian cheese bread was stiff and dry. One round and we were all ready to get our check and head out, underwhelmed. When we asked for the check, we inquired about a military discount which we were told, by the Mgr, that they do offer but not when using a gift card to pay. That's odd as the discount is a reduction of the cost and the gift card is a form of payment, should not have impact of one or the other. We are big fans of Brazilian Steakhouses but we will not be back to this one given the other local options. I would recommend that the staff be trained to be more attentive and engaged in their tables, to pay attention to what is being served, and for the leadership to exhibit pride in the restaurant.
We eat often at Texas de Brazil but never before in Jacksonville and not sure we will return to this location. Service was not up to the Texas de Brazil standards. Tea and soft drink glasses sat empty, and we had to ask for refills, which came in a pitcher and poured over our melted ice in our glasses. Had to find our own clean dishes and on occasions dirty plates sat. We took a couple who never eaten at Texas d Brazil before and they came away only enjoying the salad bar.
Our waiter was great but the gaucho service with the meat cuts was awful. There were multiple times where we waited 10+ minutes for the next person to even show up and offer us something.
Food and atmosphere were fantastic! We came here for my 40th birthday — just me, my wife, and two kids. Our reservation was marked as birthday occasion and at no point did they even acknowledge the birthday (I confirmed it was on the paper they put on the table for the server). I didn't expect anything major, but when someone is spending their 40th birthday at your restaurant, a simple Happy Birthday would make the experience feel personable. We also were not asked if we wanted any desserts. We had originally planned to get some cake / crème brûlée to celebrate, but opted to go elsewhere instead. Everything else was fantastic and we truly enjoyed the food. We had to stack our own plates multiple times and ask them to take them away to make space. A little proactiveness on bringing a clean/fresh plate goes a long way. This didn't negatively impact my experience at all, just an observation. Ultimately, we loved it, but due to the miss on making the birthday feel like anything special, we will not be back. There was an elderly couple about 3 tables away that received a crème brûlée with a candle and the manager wished them well.
Service was fast and friendly. Server personalized our experience to help us celebrate our anniversary
We went to Texas de Brazil for the rodizio experience which is where meat is brought to the table where gauchos serve portions of steak, filet mignon, pork, sausage and lamb to you. The meat was amazing and as good or better than any churrascaria that I have been to through the last 20 years. The salad bar was phenomenal also. Our server on the other hand was sub-par and did not perform at the level I would expect for a high-end restaurant like TdB. He was difficult to hear as he did not face us as he was talking and was too soft-spoken. He checked on us frequently through the meal, which was nice.
I did not appreciate the waitress asking me how much tip I wanted to leave before running my card! Very unprofessional!
We went to Texas De Brazil at the St. John’s Town Center for the first time on Saturday, 11/29. We were seated very quickly and immediately welcomed by our server, Alex. He was by far the best server we have ever had, at any restaurant. He made many recommendations for us since this was our first time at a Brazilian Steakhouse. He was very attentive, and also extremely friendly and laughed and joked with my husband and I. We will absolutely be back, and will make sure to ask to sit in Alex’s section. The food was delicious. We didn’t get much from the salad bar because we were there for the meat! 😂 But everything we had was great.

We ate here on Thanksgiving and was very disappointed. The potatoes were cold, bananas were overcooked and mushy, meats were bland and the chickens and pork were dry. We had to flag down most of the meats we were looking for since they would walk by our table most times. The servers were good despite the bar drinks being slow. This location is no comparison to the one in Orlando. A lot of money spent for little enjoyment. I will not be returning here.

Came for Thanksgiving lunch. Several dishes were cold (including potatoes au gratin [which were also a bit mushy], turkey, fried bananas). Meats were fine but brought out very slowly.
Been to the Orlando location many times which is superior.

Our primary server, Janine, was absolutely outstanding! The restaurant on Thanksgiving was super crowded yet she deftly handled our table and several others while providing the sense that we were regulars (we were not) whose preferences for drinks, cuts, and doneness she had memorized. The food was well-seasoned and delicious, with gauchos arriving routinely with fresh offerings. Holiday turkey, dressing, and gravy were on the mark. As might be expected in a filled restaurant, the noise level was a bit high, yet we were able to talk most of the time without shouting.
Food was extremely salty. Was disappointed that paying $60 for lunch didn't include basic soda.
The entire family of 5 adults and 2 small children had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the atmosphere relaxed. The waitstaff was attentive, but not overbearing. One member of our party summed it up, "It was more than an excellent food; it was an experience. " Don't forget to leave room for dessert!
