The service was pretty good. I dined in and my food came out very quickly. The staff was quite attentive. They kept stopping by to make sure I had everything I need with smiles on their faces. So you could definitely tell that they didn’t have an attitude because it was almost closing time.
I ordered the brisket fries, the two meat platter with smoked turkey and jerk chicken, macaroni and cheese, greens, and some corn nuggets. The fries were amazing! Definitely my favorite. The sides were okay. I feel like the macaroni needed more cheese. The greens and the smoked turkey needed more seasoning. Over all, it was cool. I probably would go back for the fries but I wouldn’t get anything else.

Yes, sir. Give it a try, give it a taste. Everything I tried was on point. Turkey was some of the best I've had, period. Sides were solid, ambiance is cool (trailer sized indoor, large patio, plenty of seats outside, one side is facing a major road). Brother and I were riding through on a road trip, found it on Google Maps, and glad that we did! Take a taste!

This place is a solid 4 stars in terms of Jacksonville BBQ. There is adequate seating outside and a few tables inside. The interior had a funky and fun vibe, not typical of BBQ places. I wasn't able to see what kind of smoker is used, but based in the enclosure and the flavor of the brisket, I'm guessing they use a gas heat wood smoke style smoker. I tried a few things off the menu. First, I asked for brisket from the point. The woman taking my order didn't seem to know what the point is and asked if I wanted the fatty or lean slices of brisket. Anyone who works at a BBQ place should know the terminology. The point of the brisket is the fattier side and the flat is the leaner part of the brisket. I also ordered a Florida Boy sandwich with pulled pork with a side of curry fries and a side of Mac n cheese. The brisket had a nice bark, good pull and tenderness. It was nicely seasoned with salt and pepper, but I detected a hint of sugar, which I don't care for on beef. I also noticed that rendered fat was poured over the brisket to give it the appearance of juiciness. I personally don't like the flavor of rendered deckle fat. I had to soak it up with a napkin. The Florida Boy sandwich had a good seasoned flavor, but the dried hard pork took away from a positive eating experience. I used the unnamed sauce on the table to lend some moisture to the meat. This dried hardness is typical of pork butt thay was cooked at too high of a temp. The curry fries were very good. I'll leave it at that. The mac n cheese was very creamy but lacked a cheesy flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked. I added some pulled pork and brisket to the Mac n cheese and found it to be a good combo. All in all, it was a good experience. I don't see myself taking my friends all the way across Jax for the purpose of coming here, but if I happen to be on this side of town and craving BBQ, I will come here again.
