Our first visit to The Capital Grille left us with mixed emotions. From the warm reception by the hostess to the visually stunning ambiance, our initial impressions were promising. Despite a minor hiccup that required a change of seating due to windy conditions, the staff's hospitable demeanor ensured a seamless transition. Each team member displayed exceptional kindness and professionalism. Our waitress exemplified both knowledge and kindness, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere. We began with a generously portioned salad. Though the lettuce showed slight signs of wilting, the flavors were pleasing. As we eagerly awaited our main course, our anticipation was met with some disappointment. While the risotto lacked depth, the chicken, though tender inside, had a slightly tough exterior. The standout of the meal was the impeccably prepared creme brulee for dessert. Although the potatoes au gratin were well executed, a faint hint of burnt bottom detracted slightly.Despite the prompt service and genuine apologies for minor mishaps such as a spilled drink, the overall dining experience left us longing for more. The seasoning of the dishes fell short of expectations, considering the reputation and pricing of the establishment. While not wholly discouraged, we approach the idea of a future visit with cautious optimism, hopeful for an enhancement in both flavor and execution.

First timer here. Have to say this is a high-end establishment that wants to wow your palate! The menu has great selections, the staff we had for our table was spectacular!(Marie) The atmosphere was so enjoyable, the open kitchen is a great concept! There were so many patrons celebrating something on this night, I think most were birthdays. So if your someone special needs celebrating, this is your place.

You can make this at your house for far less with a sous vide and a cheap cast iron. We had the sea bass and two filet mignon‘s, the steak was tender but a bit mushy however visually looked perfect. In all the food was extremely expensive without really offering much of an amazing eating experience, they’re just trying to scam you.

I ate the caviar and wasn’t a fan. The ambiance is dark lit I think better for a date with a significant other. My glass of bourbon and service was nice. That gives it 4 stars alone.

Even from making the reservation to the final completion of this meal, the entire operation was perfection.Initially there was an issue with the seating assignment. The management immediately rectified the situation. It’s perfection in every way. When traveling the east coast, I always search out this restaurant.Excellent!!!

Hands down the BEST steak in Jacksonville, FL! Luxurious, upscale, coveted location with an outstanding staff. The head chef and team are truly gifted. We go every anniversary, most birthdays, business meals when we want to wine and dine partners and potential clients, when family visits from our of town...THIS is the impressive experience we share with our network. The service professionals EXACTLY that...very professional, highly knowledgeable, very accommodating to requests within reason. The answer is rarely "NO" but rather, "Let us see what we can do for you!".Easily our favorite dining experience for upscale lunches or dinners. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Parking: There is a large lot connected to the plaza area that can be shared but there is also valet for those who prefer the extra elegance. It's a short walk from the parking lot for self parking with plenty of spots.Kid-friendliness: While we've never had an issue taking our children it is designed for a more upscale experience which can make having your child meltdown quite uncomfortable but if you have well behaved children like us it's very nice to expose them to classy fine dining to help them hone their etiquette in our opinion. The restaurant does not have an issue with children. I simply don't see many any time we attend. I hope that helps.
