Beautiful vibe delicious food wonderful place to grab lunch
This is a great place. Bernard offers excellent service and food is very good. I had the Fish and Grits; it was awesome. You should try the punch/tea blend. Good! I loved the restaurant's vibe and the music playing in the background is great. Thank you Bernard.
Wait time was horrific and we had to remind the waitress to bring our drinks
The Wings, mozzarella sticks, and okra were absolutely amazing!

Poor/Unprofessional Customer Service! This was my second time giving the Cookbook Restaurant a shot but I'm done. I remember my first visit there. A lady came out(possibly the owner). She did nothing to make a "visitor" to their establishment pleasant, whatsoever. I felt rushed and brushed-off, literally. Well, decided to give them a shot today and once again they proved me right! 1. Called this morning to see what was on the menu, I chose the drumette dinner. I was then abruptly cut off by the lady on the phone( supposedly the cook) saying she was busy! Beg your pardon?? 2. She handed the phone to another worker and I gave my order. I asked how many wings do you get and was told five. I asked if I could order" more than" five with my order and was told yes, (assuming that the price would just be adjusted accordingly) So, I ordered a 8 piece drumette dinner and was told they don't have an 8 piece available ( Beg your pardon?? Didn't we just discuss this) 3. I asked her to just give me the regular order and what is my charge? She then asked me to hold because she had no idea how much the dinner was. She then asked the person (described as the cook) for a price and I could hear her say, she didn't know either. Lastly, she came back to the phone and told me she was " too busy" and I would have to call them later. This was an easy way not to take my order, essentially. Either they have limited intelligence or just don't give f... about their customers. That was my second time and I'm done. You never know who's on that other end of the phone or visiting your restaurant. Train your staff better! You lost my business for sure.
I love everything
nice place cool vibe
Celebrated Pharmacists Month with lunch here and the food was soooo good, there are no pics of us or the meals! ? We had the salmon patties, eggs, grits and toast, and the fried swai with same. Ms. Wanda and Mr. Bernard had to convince me to try the swai, because usually it's mushy and bland. They seasoned and fried it just right - so now this is the only place that I will go!!! The ambiance was warm and cozy and the service was excellent - like eating at your favorite Auntie's and Uncle's house! I'm already looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu!
Bernard and Miss Lynn we’re phenomenal and the restaurant had the best atmosphere, along with wonderful tunes. I felt at home, and I live in NC. Stop in here if you have the chance and enjoy some southern hospitality with your friends and family.
Thanks Bernard and Miss Lynn
