I recently visited The District and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. I ordered a meal that turned out to be extremely spicy—far beyond what was indicated on the menu or mentioned by the staff. When I brought this up to management, they were completely unwilling to take the dish back or offer any sort of alternative. Their lack of concern and unwillingness to rectify the situation was truly frustrating. That being said, the waiter who served us was kind and professional, which was the one bright spot in the experience. The ambiance was also nice, but unfortunately, good service and a cool atmosphere can’t make up for poor management and a lack of customer care. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on how they handle customer issues—there are plenty of other restaurants that value their guests and are willing to make things right.
Absolutely AMAZING! I was there on a business trip. The staff accommodated 11 of us. Service was impeccable. Food was outstanding. Drinks were perfect. Atmosphere was delightful!
If you do not go while in Jacksonville…. You are missing out!
PS Kyle was fantastic!

We totally spaced and didn’t even think about making reservations, but the lady at the front went out of her way to make a table for us. Everyone was so sweet, and the food was incredible. Highly recommend!

Went out for my friends bday last night to the district. We had a private yurt for the group.
Nichole, our server, was patient, tolerable and knowledgeable.
Highlights: spinach dip, shepherds pie (big ups to the biscuits), delicious grits, fried chicken gumbo, bread pudding was to die for. And I did.
RIP

The food is always amazing. The staff could use some work. We came on a night that wasn’t super busy or “in the weeds” so I was surprised when our waitress took a while on the drinks and our orders.

I had dinner here on a Friday night. The food was good, although I would have preferred a bit more detail about the items on the menu. You can always ask the server, though. I had the shepherd's pie, which was spicy and hot. I tried one of their zero alcohol drinks. Firstly, I was glad to see some options for people wanting a more complex flavor experience without the alcohol. However, I was disappointed in the drink I ordered. It reminded me of cough syrup, but to each their own. The service was attentive and fairly quick. The food took a while, but I don't mind that at all.
The ambiance was laid back, until a very large birthday party reservation made the side patio extremely loud. I have a feeling the vibes of this place really just depend on the patrons at any given time.
Overall, a good experience.
Insane. Amazing across the board. 10000% coming back!!!

WOW!! I thought St. Augustine had the spots but The District SPR…you impressed me. Great vibe, delicious food (try the chimichurri).
You’ll see me back along with family and friends.

Tried to enjoy a nice Valentine’s Day lunch date there were plenty of reservations available online so we decided to walk in and not make one. We were asked if we had a reservation which we did not. We were offered a table inside squished between 2 other couples. I went online and made a reservation since there was one available in 10 minutes. I informed the hostess we now had a reservation and could we please be seated outside. She mumbled under her breath and pulled out a piece of paper and started talking about reservation policies and since we just made it the only seat she had to offer us was the previous one. It’s shame because we really wanted to try this place but we will not be coming back. The outside had plenty of empty tables we planed on having a couple of drinks, apps and food. I guess they think empty tables are good for revenue, doesn’t make any sense to me.
