Good food good people that work there, just make sure if you go there and want to sit outside go way before 2pm. Me and my kids sat down outside to eat real quick at 145-150 and city employee told us we had to get up and couldn't finish our food because they pick the chairs and tables up at 2pm

the most delicious grilled cheeses. the bread melts in your mouth, and the service is so fast and friendly. love them!

This is a go to place if you are in the downtown area. I have eaten here multiple times and I have not been disappointed with anything I have ordered. Will and his team are great people that love to serve the community. If you haven't heard of Happy grilled cheese you truly don't know what you are missing.

BEST. EVER.

We walked in and were really excited. We were immediately told about their stock shortage and were very open to the idea of substitutions. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. But what was better was the service from the workers. Absolutely phenomenal. Would def recommend.

Vegetarian options: Section of the menu dedicated to vegetarians and vegans.

Kid-friendliness: The employees were super great with kids. The front of the business worker didn’t charge two young girls for their drinks and explained he doesn’t do kids drinks because it’s not cost efficient for the parents for the kids to not drink a lot.

The man with the beard at the counter put the "happy" in happy grilled cheese! They were out of some meets but what we ordered out of what they had was AMAZING! Small and hole-in-the-wall comfort food. Truly a great atmosphere and meal due to the man at the counter and the cooks in the kitchen. Highly recommend!!

I loved happy grilled cheese before today, I ordered on doordash like usual and for some reason my order kept getting reassigned to different dashers. One dasher actually picked my order up but the order got reassigned so my new dasher had to end up talking to a manager because he said that they said they didn’t want to remake it which I get, but they end up remaking it but i’m not sure if this was done to be malicious but this spoon is disgusting im so glad I looked at the spoon before feeding my son some of the soup or else he would’ve been eating dirt. I’m not here to bash just an upset loyal customer. Needless to say I still think everyone should still try this place just actually go get it don’t doordash it.

A bit confused how a place that has a primary focus on bread and cheese can be open 5 days a week, 4 hours a day, and be "Sold Out" 30 minutes before closing. At that point, just shorten your hours if you can't manage to maintain stock for the 'full' length of your open hours. We've tried to make it to Happy Grilled Cheese a number of times since the closing of their Mandarin location and every single time, they've been closed. I'm not suggesting they need to be open 24/7 but it truly is ridiculous for how little they're open they can't even manage to fulfill those hours. It presents as "oh this last hour is slow, let's clean the grills and throw up a sold out sign." That's honestly a better reason than actually being out of bread and cheese.

This place is out of control amazing! I wish I knew about it the first day I was in town because I would have went EVERYDAY! There were about 15 sandwiches as well as a burger I wanted to try. The cheese and jalapeño fries were delicious.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall an outstanding experience. The only downside is that I do not live close enough to go everyday.
