The Camel Rider is one of my all time favorite fast foods. Their seasoning on the fries is a must have as well as finishing up your combo with Chery Limeade.

The food is as good as it always has been. Servings are generous. Price is reasonable. Typically has a larger lunch crowd than other times.

When you spend almost 70$ in the drive thru, to be pulled from the line to wait on your food, just for them to leave food off my order….idk feels like robbery to me. Had I not been given a hard time at the intercom before I even got to the window and was pulled out of line to wait just for them to play with my order I probably wouldn’t have even bother to write this review, because I don’t like writing bad reviews. Though they are necessary sometimes. If it’s raining and your intercom isn’t covered and your customer is having to repeat the order several times, then common sense would tell you to pull them to the window, especially being as though your drive thru runs into one of the busiest streets in Jacksonville. My car is getting wet on the inside trying to order, you can’t hear me, meanwhile traffic on Atlantic blvd is being backed up to hell. All because not only do you lack basic customer services skills, but critical thinking skills as well. I called to speak to a manager, the lady I spoke with said she was “one” of the managers. Needless to say she was far too busy engaging in friendly banter with someone else in the background to rectify the matter. The food I did receive was hot though…that counts for something.

Went to get grilled chicken pita combo. Guy at drive-thru handed me a bag with no fries. I asked about it, he said he didn't ring me up for a combo. So damn near $13 for just a pita and a drink? Didn't give me a receipt to confirm, didnt offer to fix the issue.

They say “don’t judge a book by its cover,” and I guess I should have taken that advice a lot sooner. I just visited The Sheik, a sandwich shop that turned out to be very good. The outside of the building might make you think it’s just a little hole-in-the-wall, but inside, the staff was friendly, joking around, and providing fast service.

I went with their most popular item, the Steak in a Sack, a steak sandwich in a pita. The steak was hot, peppery, and delicious, and the price was very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.
