Tony's Cantina mexican Grill

I visited Tony’s Cantina with my family tonight, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I ordered something simple, tacos, nothing fancy and still ended up without any food. The restaurant was pretty much empty, yet the server blamed “large parties” for the delay. There were no large groups anywhere so that didn’t really add up. As we were getting ready to leave, the server attemped to bring food to the table amd the rest lf my family was packing blxes to leave, shocker, it wasn’t even close to what I ordered. The restaurant itself has a lot of potential; it’s beautiful inside and could be a great spot, but I won’t be returning. When you can’t even get simple orders right or out to your patrons while all the rest of the table is dinings, it's hard to give a place another chance. Disappointing, to say the least.

I came here for my birthday lunch with a group. It was the worst service I have ever had! The waiter would only acknowledge the man at the table. He brought me the wrong tequila and then proceeded to argue with me about it. He never checked on the table, we had to constantly waive him over or ask another server to send him over. I was so excited to experience this restaurant but I'll NEVER go back.

Very artistically Designed eatery!!!! Loved the Hand Painted murals.on the walls...and glass hearts etc hanging from the ceiling..The beef tacos were good, the shells were homemade...semi crunchy
Tasty....We ordered a platter..for 30.00... It came with 2 tacos, 4 pcs chicken 2 Empanadas...taquitos...4 sauces...and a huge pile of Fries ....pretty good..chicken was a lot of fried breading...and a bit tough

The food is outstanding and it actually looks like the pictures on the menu. It's a fun place to have dinner. It's definitely on my list to go back to on a regular basis.

The food and service was good, everything came fast the street corn is nasty. I thought I would be grilled corn but it’s just steamed other than that issue everything else taste great

This place is serious fun! Atmosphere is great, food is why we keep going back! Drinks specials 2/$10 margs and sangria. Empanadas best in Jax. Service is always great. After they went viral on tik tok you will wait for a table for dinner, but lunch time is quiet and they have AMAZING lunch specials!! We love Tony’s.

We gave Tony's a try for lunch. Imagine my surprise to find an empty building. We had great service and an incredible lunch. Fresh chips and salsa, we ordered some queso that was very good, and I had a chimichanga full of shredded beef and drenched in queso. Everything was spotless, super friendly servers. I need to go back for dinner and try one of their margaritas. Definitely will be back!

I had steak burrito, beef was very dry not freshly grilled, girlfriend got chicken burrito, she said she thought the chicken was tough like microwaved, but the Mexican rice was good, only two servers

Our first time with my husband's family on Mexican Independence Day. Everyone was excited to try a new restaurant. The food was good, the service was ok, the atmosphere along with food presentation was very nice. The menu is extensive. There is alot to try. The flavors are like other Mexican restaurants. I was expecting something more because of the wonderful presentations of each meal, but the flavor is similar to other Mexican restaurants in town. There is a large drink menu which makes this place a great time with friends and family! A great place to try different margaritas. The service didn't start well. The hostess unfriendly and not welcoming. She did not break a smile at any interaction and made us feel like an inconvenience. We had a large party, but the restaurant had a free options to sit us. There was some confusion as well on who was our sever. However, once that was resolved service was ok. The atmosphere has an upbeat vibe and is great for celebrations or fun dinner out. The portions based on what you ordered can be huge for 1 person. The tacos are definitely good for 1 person, but the fajitas and other specialty dishes can be shared. I suggest ordering extra sides if sharing. If you are in the area and craving margaritas, stop by. If you are celebrating a birthday or out with friends for a fun dinner, a good place to have Mexican food and drinks. I will be back to give it another try.
