To be honest, I’m pretty disappointed. This big restaurant is in Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens, one of the best zoos in the world but it does not live up to the hype, half of my chicken was undercooked and the other half was overcooked and it just tasted weird and then the fries weren’t even that good. I don’t recommend going here unless you’re starving and have money because it’s very overpriced. I waited like twenty minutes to be served with this. Thank you for the effort but it needs improvement.

Unfortunately, every visit was disappointing. The food was consistently overly salty, over-spiced, and extremely overpriced for the quality. We tried both higher-priced items and more basic options, and none of them were flavorful or worth the cost.
Based on our repeated experiences, this has been one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had, and we will not be returning. We also do not recommend this place for families, as it is expensive and not kid-friendly in terms of taste or value.

I ordered their shareable fries+burger dish and it was hands down one of the worst food I have ever had in my life. It cost me $14.5 and I threw most away. I am someone that never waste any food.

Came here with a family of 8, 2 separate orders spent $100+ on food to be told we can’t customize our food because the chef will get mad. Ordered a cheese burger and didn’t receive any cheese, asked for them to just throw a piece of cheese on it and the chef wouldn’t. I had to get a refund and re order to add cheese. I would have paid for the damn cheese if they would have just put it on the burger. The chef is arrogant and unprofessional. I could tell he was making the staffs job hard because they were hesitant to go to him about something as simple as cheese. He definitely should not be working in a family environment like the zoo 🤷🏻♀️.

I enjoy their hotdog with ketchup and mustard and a small souvenir cup. 🌭
Food was mediocre. The Mac and cheese was cold and flavorless. The burger and fries were pretty good though. Main issue is cleanliness. The forks and knives were very disgusting so I asked for disposables which they didn't have (understandable being a zoo and all) but the employees didn't seem to care about the condition of the silverware.

I went to the Zoo once or twice a week after I retired. I love the zoo and I remember being very small in the 1950’s and going with my parents. After I injured my back, my knees also deteriorated, so fast forward to today and I am in a wheelchair. Oh how I loved walking in the zoo for hours on end. I beg you to give it a try, it straightens out your whole day! Anne
