Came here with a family of 8, 2 separate orders spent $100+ on food to be told we can’t customize our food because the chef will get mad. Ordered a cheese burger and didn’t receive any cheese, asked for them to just throw a piece of cheese on it and the chef wouldn’t. I had to get a refund and re order to add cheese. I would have paid for the damn cheese if they would have just put it on the burger. The chef is arrogant and unprofessional. I could tell he was making the staffs job hard because they were hesitant to go to him about something as simple as cheese. He definitely should not be working in a family environment like the zoo 🤷🏻♀️.

I was really The price of the drink because I paid six dollars for it and I didn’t even get a refill and on top of that the fries are so crispy And the silverware was absolutely disgusting. I recommend not going here.

This is cafeteria food at airport prices. They don't have lids or straws for drinks. Good luck to you if you have kids and are trying to avoid spilling everywhere.

Food was mediocre. The Mac and cheese was cold and flavorless. The burger and fries were pretty good though. Main issue is cleanliness. The forks and knives were very disgusting so I asked for disposables which they didn't have (understandable being a zoo and all) but the employees didn't seem to care about the condition of the silverware.

I went to the Zoo once or twice a week after I retired. I love the zoo and I remember being very small in the 1950’s and going with my parents. After I injured my back, my knees also deteriorated, so fast forward to today and I am in a wheelchair. Oh how I loved walking in the zoo for hours on end. I beg you to give it a try, it straightens out your whole day! Anne

Since the change in catering company this place now serves probably the worst food in Jax. McDonald’s burgers are better quality meat and they don’t cost 16 dollars. Shrimp are disgusting and salad was unwashed… like still with sand. Every time you be been here since it’s been always equally bad.
