UNF’s Osprey Cafe has probably got to be one of the biggest money making schemes if I’ve ever seen one. For the price of the meal plans (that you are OBLIGATED to get if you’re an FTIC living on campus), you think they would offer more variety, have a cleaner atmosphere, and overall be on top of things, but they’re not. I just got done eating my ice cream with a FORK because there was absolutely no silverware left. They close at 9, which is insane given I remember seeing that they would be open until 3am for a “late night”. If you go an hour before 9, expect there to be no silverware, napkins, cups, etc. The same food is offered EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I’m sorry but constantly eating pizza and burgers is not healthy. The “healthy” options literally just always consist of rice and some sort of vegetable. Their ice cream machine never works, and if it does, expect it to be OUT of ice cream. The tables are always dirty, and same with the floors. Don’t even bother going during the day, as it’s always so crowded. Fall semester they were doing tours for what looked like literal children, who would be running all over the cafe or taking up every single seat, there was so many people to the point there wasn’t even any pizza left. It’s not a bad walk from the dorms so I’ll give them that, and the staff is friendly, but the service is just horrible. And don’t even bother to reach out to the dining team, as they don’t do anything. Given the quality of this place they seriously need to lower their prices and not make it a requirement in the housing contract to get their stupid meal plan for FTIC. I’m better off just buying my own groceries and making healthier options from my dorm.

For $11 a meal you’d think they wouldn’t be out of half the menu everyday. They literally refuse to even put hotdogs on the grill an hour before they close. Today they had, no hotdogs, no Cinnamon Toast Crunch, no crinkle cut pickles, burnt pizza, no ice cream, no chicken, and probably a bunch of other stuff it’s just ridiculous. I’m not mad at the employees as I’m sure it’s understaffed all the time but there’s just zero effort here towards the end of the day.

This place will claim they serve breakfast 1030 and then you get up in the morning before your class and go and there’s no breakfast. personally, this is annoying because we pay top dollar and we don’t get anything. Another example is I go with my friends to the dining hall at 8 o’clock we get there. They were supposed to be serving good food we get there and they’re not serving the food anymore and they’re serving sides. so I had to go and get chipotle when I shouldn’t have to when I’m paying for the all access seven day meals.
Which is $1000 plus and this is just for the summer. Imagine if it was for the fall. The food quality is great but they need to be more communicative on what times they serve because I’ve asked three different workers and they’ve told me three different things. And also on top of that, I had visitors who paid 13.75 for sides. I love UNF, but the service is terrible

At 10:26am on Wednesday in April, this little toothless witch at (Chop’d & Wrap’d) had the nerve to tell me “We’re not open yet! We open in 4 more minutes.” And that I should come back then, in 4 minutes. Someone sign this little chick up for a class in Profit & Loss asafp!I wonder if she understands WHY they have zero customers at UNF Cafe and Chik Fil A next door is always packed!Hoping management sees this and someone learns a lesson. "Come back in 4 minutes" when all I wanted was to buy a soda? Anyone see this as a metaphor for the problem with state run and state managed facilities?I shall never return to this place and will dance in their ashes when they fail. Have a nice day!

The food is decent, however you’d expect since it is so expensive and on top that mandatory for the first year students living in the dorm that the LEAST of the standards is that the cafe is sanitary. FLIES ARE EVERYWHERE AND EVEN ON THE FOOD!! It’s so concerning, the amount of dead flies I've seen on the buffet counter! Like they don’t even try to hide it smh! I’ve stopped going because of the infestation.

Well it was cheep at least didn’t have as many vegan options as i thought and was just ok on the food. If you’re very hungry and don’t have much money it’s not bad. Has a really odd vibe though like no one wants to be there. And everyone looks super depressed. Staff and customers alike. Over all just felt really sad. And the music from the early 2000s wasn’t helping much.

The taste of the dining hall food at UNF is something I can't complain about. Quite above average for most of the items here.

Sit down and allow me to tell you a little story of how i had the most delectable pizza of my life. It was just a normal day until I went to the dining hall at UNF. When I left that glorious building, I knew my life was changed for the better. This was the most juicy and warm slice of pizza I had ever put to my mouth. It was beautifully cut and it glistened in the fluorescent lighting of the dining hall. I couldn't just have one, I needed more. I grabbed another slice as quickly as I could and made sure to add a hint of basil which complimented the pie wonderfully. I cant ever forget about this pizza. It motivates me to keep going every day just hoping that ill be in its presence in the future. If anyone says that this place was underwhelming or that the sell dog food, they're lying. Don't listen to them.

Everything tastes like dog food or is not cooked all the way. Students deserve better!

The UNF Osprey Cafe is set up "all you can eat" style with self-serve stations. If you're a student using a meal plan, the cafe is the best bank for your buck. Just make sure you know the meal hours and where they put out food

Vegetarian options: There is a vegan section separate from the general food, as well as a large variety of vegetarian options that are listed.

Pretty good food for a university cafeteria. Good selection of fresh, hot foods, vegetarian options, and decent desserts. All at a pretty inexpensive price.
