Looking for some good breakfast and found Uptown on Sunday. I ordered scrambled eggs and cheese with French toast. Guy on the phone said 15 minutes for pick up. I arrived on time and parked in the back of the building. When I went inside I discovered this place was poppin!!! Barely and open seats and a line going out the entrance. I had to wait another 15 minutes to get my food. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place just not on a weekend during peak hours.

We had breakfast here and everything was very good. Friendly staff and the food was full of flavor. I had the catfish and grits. My wife had the breakfast bowl.

This place was so nice. The exterior and interior accommodations are very nice. The food was freshly made, and the wait was not long at all. Carolyn was our waitress, and she was super sweet. The salmon croquettes were the bomb! I personally had the liver and grits meal. My bestie had the fish and grits. Our plates were wiped clean! Didn't need to add additional condiments either. 10/10. Will be returning very soon. Oh, and we went for brunch. Last thing, their mimosas are top tier too!Vegetarian options: You can ask for items to be removed or substituted.

Uptown Kitchen and Bar was chef’s kiss?. I FULLY recommend this establishment!!! Your belly will thank you. :) The atmosphere was very homey and inviting, the food was amazing and the portions were shareable. The only things is, you are NOT going to want to share a morsel with . I definitely recommend!!!

First time here and it was ok. I ordered the oxtail omelet and it was good. Had more veggies then meat but what was there was very tasty and tender. Biscuit was good wish it would of come with some type of jam, butter or honey. Drinks were flat. Waitress showed up once for order and someone else delivered. She showed up one more time to provide ticket and then never again. We had to take it to bar. Coworker ordered the po boy and she said it was dry. Sorry that's all I got from her.

The food here did not taste as good as the pictures made it look— our avocado toast was notably not made with fresh avocados and had a brownish-greyish hue to it, and the oxtail omelette was extremely greasy. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great and attentive, but it was clear the food runner had an attitude and was being inappropriately passive aggressive to the bartender. He was the only bartender on staff for a busy bar and she needed him to come look at a food order in the back, and he said he’d be right there, and she shouted “NOW. NOW!” And it just killed the vibe of what should’ve been a fun Friday brunch service. We ended up cutting our brunch early to go eat somewhere else because her shouting at the bartender like that really upset me.

Shrimp & Grits are my favorite their. Nothing else gets my vote. Their scrambled eggs are suspicious ?, they are just too yellow.Parking: Street parking is not favorable.

They must have new cooks. The food was disgustingly. What happened to the black cook from New Orleans? I literally had to vomiting ? and requested to remove this oily greasy pasta from my bill. The was amazing 2yrs ago

The wait time to be seated wasn't too bad but the actual wait to be served our food took over a hour and the waitress Lancie was not attentive enough for me. It wasn't a totally bad experience but something needs to be improved.
