Viva Mexican Restaurant

Currently still eating. From the beginning it was great. Friendly environment, clean, and prompt. Server was very nice, and always available. Now to the food. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!! everything was fresh and taste fresh. I've been in jax for 3years now, hands down this is the best tasting Mexican food I've had. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I ordered the tacos al pastor. Came with a side of cilantro, onions, limes, and a delicious spicy red salsa that gave the tacos that special kick and of course rice and beans. With that being said, I believe the meat was more of a carnitas type of meat and not al pastor at all and the rice was a bit stale. Either way the meat was juicy and tender but kinda disappointing when you're expecting something else. Our server was attentive and the wait time was no more than 5 minutes.

I just want to start by saying I did enjoy the food and people... Definitely the people... But I went here because of the reviews I read and it wasn't as good as the reviews claimed "to me"...

Omg!! Being from San Diego.. it's hard to find a good Mexican restaurant. The margaritas are LARGE and good!! The food is plentiful for the PRICE!! Very,very,very GOOD!!

Never disappointing! Good food, margaritas and prices

We love our local Mexican restaurant & frequent it at least once a week & truly believed it was the best place to eat ever. Well we was so WRONG :) VIVA Mexican had the best Mexican food we ever ate. We all got something different but all agreed to Get the Fish tacos OMGoodness that taste was amazing! I would have posted a photo but we ate it with such enthusiasm we forgot to take photos. I can guarantee the next time we go to Jacksonville for a cruise we'll be stopping here to eat.

I've never had anything bad to eat there probably my favorite Mexican place to eat

The food was reasonably priced and so were the drinks. Our lunch was delicious. So glad we stopped here.

Quick friendly service. The chimichanga was great. I only wish it wasn't so far out of the way from where I'm working, otherwise I'd likely be there for lunch every day.
