Woody's Bar-B-Q - Jacksonville (University)

I have been twice and was able to cut brisket with fork, went today soooo disappointing. The brisket was either poorly cooked or yesterday's sitting under a heat lamp. I had a hard time cutting it with a knife, alot like flank steak. I saw it and could tell it was tough. I should have took it back. 20 dollars for crap. won't go back.

Shrink inflation on food quantity & over priced. Better off going to Sonny's I regret not going. In the past Woody's was the bomb, long time owners sold business you can tell forsure.

Good food as always. The stew was nice. The baked sweet potato is on the small side, but it is a side dish and not a main dish. The sloppy Woody was generous.

Ordered lunch special. Brisket. It was no brisket. Meet came in 3 slices and way to butter toast. Meet was extremely dry. Hostess was ask if table could get wiped down. She did but then just left it extremely wait. Then wanted to put menu and napkins on wait table. Waitress was awesome hope she gets my full tip. Only thinking in this place worth anything. I give the waitress 5 stars the rest of the place will be deserves one

Do yall hate giving out BBQ sauce with the BBQ you make? 3 entrees for $50 and not a drop of BBQ sauce or dressing that was requested with the okra. Everything was bone dry.
Why would you think that’s an acceptable customer experience?

I ordered take out today and when I opened my meal, there was not any napkins or utensils. There was no bbq sauce and because of that, I had to eat BBQ without any sauce. The baked potato tasted like it was 2 weeks old and had no butter or anything else for it. The meat was very good but not BBQ without having sauce. I did like the slaw it wasn't too wet and not too sweet and I like it that way but the meal was ruined because of lacking attention to important details and that horrible potato. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, this sorry meal cost me 25 bucks when a McDonald's would have been more satisfying and I never eat McDonald's.

I have been to this restaurant many times, but today the service was completely horrible. The young man, waiting on our table was not attentive at all. He did not even offer refills. He had a hard time understanding one of the sandwiches that we wanted, so when we tried to explain it to him he said that we were being rude. In fact, we were not rude at all. I even explained to him that it was necessary to show a little customer service when dealing with paying customers. He was very disrespectful and even said curse words to me a lady as I was leaving the restaurant. I am very disappointed in the service I received. I also believe that this store needs better management. Whoever the manager in charge was today did not take any responsibility nor did he apologize. This restaurant used to be run very Professionally and now seems to have fallen by the wayside. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone and hope that in the future, you will come to realize the importance of customer service.

Original woodys was just as amazing as it was in the 90s when my husband worked there 10-10 go!

We tried woody's out bc they were on upside. They lure you in with an offer, but don't give you a receipt with all the info that upside requires. In this case, the last 4 of the card number. See screenie attached. The food is fine, but pulling the upside rug out from under you is NOT cool.

Went in around noon on a busy father's day and service was top notch and the food tasted great. I'd definitely recommend this location.

My husband and I went to check it out since it has new owners. The food was hot and the taste was better than ever. I definitely recommend this place now. The Carolina Hash was great! Congratulations to the new owners, you brought this place back on our dining list.
