I was in town for a work trip, so I decided to check out this place since it was close to my hotel. The atmosphere was really nice. The food was pretty good, though I wasn't a big fan of the corn in the shrimp fried rice. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

During my later work years i traveled internationally and many times to Shanghai China. i found a dumpling restaurant that was great and they had two other restaurants in San Francisco and Vancouver. On an Alaskan cruise our last stop was Vancouver and we visited their restaurant.
Zen Dumpling i found and the food was just as good.

Me and my wife visited this place last week. The foods were all good. Liked the cleanness of the restaurant. Staffs were friendly and professional. Although we were quite satisfied with the foods, we thought the price was a bit relatively expensive. Our favorite was the truffle dumpling.

What a pleasant surprise!
We got:
Chicken fried rice Mini bao 5 piece chicken soup dumplings Pork & cabbage dumplings
Chicken fried rice was pretty good. Enough to share between two people. Had an interesting flavor on it that I couldn't pin but loved it.
Mini baos were good. They were pan fried and tasty. They are nice to have as a little snack!
These were the first soup dumplings I've had. They had really good flavor and I was surprised by the burst of soup in your mouth when you bite into them. Very tasty.
Pork & cabbage were okay. Definitely not the kind youd get from China Wok for example. They still had good flavor and tasted like a lighter option.
One thing we felt that could've been added was a sweet savory sauce. We placed a pickup order and got a myriad of sauces except a sweet one (unsure if it exists here yet.) Just some brown sugar, soy, and chili (not spicy) could fix that and would be a great dipping sauce alongside the menu items.
What really solidified the 5 stars was the fact that we also got an adorable insulated bag for carry out. This is the first time I have ever gotten an insulated bag from any location when placing a pickup order. If anything, this shows how much pride this restaurant has in its food and the fact that they want to make sure you enjoy your meal while it is still hot. It's also just a really nice touch overall and shows the extra effort instead of paying for cheap paper or plastic bags for take out.
I didn't have much interaction with staff besides placing a pickup order, but we were very satisfied overall with the experience.
