While on our way to our vacation destination, we took the time to stay in Juno beach for a few nights. Not knowing anything about the best place for dinner, I saw Captain Charlie’s. I had been looking for somewhere on the water for dinner but, for some reason this place stuck out. So we pull into the parking lot and it’s in a basic “strip mall.” I was already questioning my choices. We walk in and immediately LOVED the atmosphere! The kitchen was an open concept and watching the chef “fire” up the skillets was fun to watch! Our granddaughter loved it. She is a 4 yr old who LOVES seafood! Her favorite are shrimp, All of it and not fried! When it was time to order we were really wanting our seafood pasta in a white wine cream sauce but, our server was hesitant and let us know the Mac and cheese version was delish without changing it. I realized we should not change a good thing right?!? Thank God we didn’t! Our food was AMAZING! So DELICIOUS! So good, we forgot to take a picture. But that’s ok because the memory is there forever and I promise when we come through again (and will), this will be a must stop and eat place! Our server was knowledgeable, patient, prompt and kind. I do not remember her name but would love to give her the proper recognition. Thank you all for an amazing dinner!

It didn't start out well, crash landing on an unknown planet, but the fruit haul was great! 5 stars for stopping a famine on my home planet.

Long time customers but the experience can be quite variable depending on food you order and if into good wines how well they have stored the particular bottle you order-For $100 plus per person with tip that we typically spend, expect better consistency- the trio of crabcakes, tuna with asian noodles, creme brulee is quite good .Last experience with the wines was extremely disappointing- they have an impressive selection particularly by the glass but each red wine served was chilled to what I would consider serving temp for a white wine- a Faust Cab shouldn't be served in the 50's. Next red Cambria Syrah served same way- both tasted like water simply due to the way they are storing these wines. When I saw the bartender smell the last glass before he served it I suspected it wasn't going to be too great. You can have a great selection but if not served properly it a complete waste- hopefully they will go back to serving reds at appropriate temp and discarding wines that have sat too long.
Love this spot. Perfect example of a locals place. The linguine with clam sauce was not very good. I didn't mind the sun-dried tomato, but the dish has tons of leeks (at least I think that's what they were) and very little sauce (which tasted like butter, not clam)
