“Neighborhood seafood restaurant that is worth the walk from Calle Ocho. I had the fried shrimp with yucca fries. They were excellent. Shrimp were cooked perfect and the yucca fries were crispy with nice soft inside. Also ordered the Grouper fish soup after seeing three people having it and looking like they were enjoying the soup. The soup was BLAND and lacked flavor. Btw, it didn't have whole pieces of Grouper in it as was explained by the waiter. It is cooked with the Grouper head. I also had their famous fried fish sandwich which was great! But more bread heavy than fish. The fried shrimp dish was by far the best however. Two great meals and an underwhelming soup. The service was excellent and prices ok. Definitely should try!“
“Straight to the point: getting a hot dog here is moreso an experience.Visited on a Friday evening around 6:30pm. Had tried to come at 1pm because the hours posted on tbeir social media started at 11am. However when I arrived at 1pm, I was told they were closed but would probably open at 3:30pm.The current setup (as of Jan 2024) is a food truck in a well-lit lot with picnic tables/benches and free parking. You pull in, walk up and order at the truck. Fatman is back there cooking. I like that they have a buzzer to alert when your order is ready. You can wait in your car or at one of the tables instead of standing around. The staff is not very talkative but efficient. The menu has several combinations of toppings available like mac & cheese, steak and grilled chicken. I just ordered a plain hot dog for the experience because when I want a hot dog, I just want a hot dog, no frills. It was seared on a flat top and appeared to be Nathan's. I got it simply dressed - ketchup, mustard, mayo & sauerkraut. Other than what I think was parsley in the sauerkraut, I felt ok about the hotdog. The most interesting part of my experience was the young goat standing (sleeping) in the corner of the lot. I believe she is an actual pet. Would never expect to see that at a hotdog stand but there ya go.Overall, glad to see someone following their passion, creating opportunities for others in the process and bringing something unique to the community. For the experience and something a little different, I could recommend a visit.“
“This is one my favorite taco places in the area. We got the Birria & Taco Costra ?which were delicious and the size of the portions were really good.We ended up getting an extra guacamole for the nachos because it was soo good! The servers were kind and fast. We'll definately be returning soon.?“
“A very nice place on the beach. Its owners are Spanish, they attend to the business with professionalism, ensuring that the paella accompanied with European-type bread, the squid in batter and the Catalan cream are sublime and a unique experience for the palate. It is worth coming and repeating the experience. I highly recommend it.Additionally, the music they play is Spanish and of very good taste and appropriate to the occasion.“
