Hobo's Cafe was such a nice dining experience, it is now one of our favorite restaurants to frequent when staying in Key Largo.
My husband & I went there after several recommendations and were not disappointed.
We ordered a couple appetizers - Tuna Nachos & Thai Hot Wings.
Great atmosphere with big granite bartop. Well-decorated. Excellent service from our bartender Jessie.

REALLY flavorful shrimp risotto, rich & creamy sauce on a large hot mound of risotto. Barely able to finish. Yum! We review lots of restaurants, but this meal was spectacular.

Thoroughly enjoyed a delicious and decadent Shrimp Risotto accompanied with a side of Creamed Spinach. Two of us shared this rich and plentiful dish. Great service by Joel on the ever so pleasant patio. We'll definitely be back!

Sat outside which was nice. Got the conch fritters as an appetizer (no pictured) which were very good. Sister got some type of sandwich and I got the Lobster and Shrimp Louisiana and my oh my was it good. Seasoned so well. Ate half of it and had the other half as a after nap snack

We were passing through town and starving and we see this odd pink looking building but we always heard that you want to go into the restaurants in the keys that don't look fancy. Well you wouldn't expect what you see when you walk through the door. It is bustling with people, clean big bright and the food is so good. We actually split the mahi special with the coconut crust which was unbelievable and large enough to split and it came with the two sides the cream spinach we got baked potato and coleslaw and all three were delish!!! They do have happy hour but it's only at the bar, and their bar is very small so seats are very limited. Highly recommend if you're passing through the keys.

Will always stop here when we are down in the area. Absolutely delicious fresh hogfish Snapper sandwich and yellow tail with waffle fries, great specials and menus sat outside with the fans and very comfortable and had very delicious Key Lime pie. Service was phenomenal. Gave us ideas for things to do in the Keys. Billy from Everglade Expeditions gave us the recommendation.

We stopped by on a Tuesday night about 5pm. The place was not full and we got seated fast. Our waitress was very friendly and answered any question we had. Hobo’s interior was very clean and neatly laid out. The menu has just about something for everyone on it. I ordered the Hobo’s Blackened Fish Sandwich with Cole Slaw and a side of Clam Chowder. My wife ordered the Scallops wrapped with Crab Cake. My friend ordered the BBQ Wings and a Chef salad. The Clam Chowder and the Chef Salad was delivered fast, and all looked good. I took a taste of my Clam Chowder; it was hot and so good. It is the best Chowder I had since moving to Florida. My friends Chef Salad looked amazing and all items on the salad tasted fresh and crisp, it was big enough for three of us to split it and we still had some to take back to the Hotel with us. Our main orders came out quickly and they looked amazing. All the food was hot and very tasty. My Blackened Fish was very good as was the Coleslaw. The Scallops were good as well. Our friend stated the BBQ Wings were the best he ever had in state of Florida. Our friend got a piece of Key Lime Pie with a candle on it because it was his birthday. Even the Key Lime Pie was delicious. I loved this place and will stop by when we are in the keys. I am so glad we tried this place; you must stop by you will not be disappointed. Parking is easy and plentiful. They have an outside patio and will ask you where you want to sit when you arrive. I give Hobo’s a 5 out of 5 stars for the fast service, good food, tasty Key Lime Pie plus the best Clam Chowder in the Keys.

Absolutely the best meal ever. I ordered the hog fish topped with tomatoes, scallions, Parmesan cheese and key lime butter sauce. It was excellent! 100% recommend. The service was excellent as well.

This is a wonderful spot to grab a bite. Sat outside on the shaded patio. My husband and I shared a lobster roll (absolutely amazing) and a shrimp/lobster po’ boy. Waffle fries were great and a good selection of local brews and a key lime cider that was delicious. Our server was incredible and attentive. An amazing lunch!
