I was blown away by the quality and variety of the meads made here! I stopped here for a flight of meads at the end of a long day exploring the Florida Keys and I'm so glad I made the stop. Bartender was very friendly and fun to talk with as I sampled 6 different varieties of meads. There was only one I wasn't crazy about but I'd still drink again. I wish I could have tried all 20! They also have spirits and cocktails. Definitely worth a visit.

Still trying to hold onto that small town charm. Cheers! Where else can you discuss genetics, Marine Life, yeast development (how do you distill mead to 40+ proof?) health and fitness along with exercise routines with 2 mead specialists and anyone else who bellies up to the bar? Oh yeah, they have lots of cool swords hidden in the mead racks and an employee that can easily show them off.

***A MUST VISIT ON YOUR TRIP TO THE FLORIDA KEYS****

This mead distillery is a local gem. The owner and his staff are top notch- cool as hell, incredibly knowledgeable about their products and absolutely welcoming from the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave. The bartenders are all amazing to speak with. The tastings are great, the flights are worth it and the cocktails are fantastic. I recommend Key’s Mead to everyone who tells me that they’re taking a trip to Key West or just visiting the islands. Don’t forget to pick up a bottle of their in-house made mead or something on the spirits side. Great gifts also!

Cool little place, Casaundra was friendly and very knowledgeable. Been here before and miss the bee’s. A meadery should have a bee hive. Just sayin’.

Keys Meads is a unique meadery in the Keys. It's a great place to try a flight of meads or a seasonal cocktail. You can buy mead by the bottle and case too!

They also host game nights and other events throughout the month. Highly recommend!

Our experience here was really great. Tim was a fantastic host and professor of all things mead. Great fund and learned a LOT! We'll be back!

I always seem to be around too early, they open at noon!, this time they were open. We had such a great time with our bartendress. We each got a flight of 10 samples and we left feeling just a little woozy, which was fun.

We did a mead testing and it was a lot of fun! We brought charcuterie with us. And Cassaundra was really nice!

Katie led us on a unforgettable tasting of more than 20 of the meads and meads spirits that they brew and distill there. Meads were new to us, but after a delicious tour of some wonderful flavors and aromas, we chose a few to take home. While we were there, the distiller, Jeff, showed us a hive of resident bees and blew our minds with his knowledge of bee behavior and how they make honey. We're happy to have met Katie and Jeff and to have learned about their work and products. Key's Meads is definitely run by friendly folks who generously share their passion for delicious beverages.

I was hesitant to stop here as I have almost no experience with mead, but man am I glad I did. I did the full tasting, which I highly recommend. The employees were awesome and talked me through each mead, and a lot of them were delicious! They have their own bees and make the honey right on site. For me, the spirits took the cake. If you are a whiskey drinker, the Keeper’s cask tastes like a honey-finished bourbon with a thick, mouth-coating finish that is just delightful. They also ship, so even if you can’t make it down I’d definitely consider them if you like mead or even just honey. I will definitely be stopping here every time I’m in the Keys.

Great experience, my husband tried a bunch of different meads. The guys working there were super friendly and easy to talk to. Everyone we drove past we kept commenting on the play on words for the name, so it was only fitting that we came in to try a flight. I do recommend the honey spirit (which is similar to a bourbon).
