Stop in late from the next door hotel check in. And had 2 drinks from the outside tiki hut. Drinks where good an waiter was real nice. Even though they were closing he still offered to make a drink.

Happy hour snacks and drinks! Also the dinner menu was amazing. The yellowtail is my favorite

A Hidden Gem with Killer Views, Drinks, and Food

If you're in Key Largo and looking for that perfect combination of waterfront views, great food, and outstanding service, look no further than Snook’s Bayside Restaurant. This place might be a bit of a local secret, but it’s become one of our favorite stops in the Keys — so much so that we’ve been back three times now.

On our first visit (5/31), we arrived early and started with drinks down by the water. My girlfriend had a Key Lime Martini, which was sweet, smooth, and dangerously strong — in the best way. I had the Rum Punch, which packed a serious punch but was also full of flavor. We soaked in the breeze and kicked off the evening with some appetizers, and honestly, they blew us away.

The ceviche — and I’m not normally a ceviche fan — was amazing. It came loaded with huge shrimp and served with fresh, crispy chips. The lobster bites were another win — essentially large, tender chunks of lobster tail deep-fried in a light, tempura-style batter. Absolutely addictive.

For dinner, we moved up to the main bar, where the service got even better. Kevin, the bartender, quickly became our go-to — we saw him on every visit, and he’s easily the best bartender we encountered throughout ALL of the Florida Keys. Super friendly, knows his drinks, and just fun to talk to.

I tried a few cocktails while my girlfriend stuck with her Rum Punch (can't blame her). One drink I ordered — a coconut-based one — was a little too creamy for my taste. But then Kevin made me a custom gin cocktail using gin, simple syrup, ginger ale, and a splash of club soda. It was perfectly balanced, crisp, and refreshing — easily the best drink I had all week. (The second time we returned, Kevin saw us from across the way and had us both a drink ready by the time we found a seat at the bar - that's called SERVICE and it's something that is a rare find these days!)

For entrées, we shared two dishes:

The Blue Crab Plate came with generous, meaty chunks of crab, lightly seasoned and super fresh.

The “Indecision” Platter (aptly named) gave us a little of everything: Mahi, shrimp, scallops — all pan-fried to perfection. The Mahi was decent (not my favorite), but everything else on the plate was outstanding.

And just when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, we ordered the Key Lime Pie — and we’re glad we did. It was perfectly balanced — not too tart, not too sweet, and had a smooth, creamy texture with a nice graham cracker crust. A solid way to end a great meal.

Yes, Snook’s is a little on the pricier side, but it’s absolutely worth every penny. You’re getting great food, strong drinks, gorgeous views, and staff that actually care about your experience.

Between the laid-back bayside vibe, consistently great meals, and Kevin’s expert bartending, Snook’s Bayside has become one of our must-visit stops anytime we’re in the Keys.

Great stop on the way to Key West. We really enjoyed our cocktails and food (pistachio encrusted mahi mahi wrap, lobster bites). Staff was nice and the outside area looks amazing (we ate at the bar).

Spot is pretty nice. The food came out wrong after waiting almost 2 hours (wasnt busy at the time). We asked 3 times when the food would be coming out, and we are pretty sure they never put in our order at first. We only ate half of everything because it didn't taste great. Our server was super friendly, though.

No vegan options plus when menu says vegetarian option the waitress asked if seafood was ok. I just ordered a salad no dressing no cheese. Plus ordered fries but I’m pretty sure they weren’t vegan. The waitress friendly but not too brilliant on the menu.

Came for a late lunch, Chantelle was our server and was fabulous. She had 10 tables, and we never felt like we weren't attended she was also extremely knowledgeable on the menu and the specials.

We started with the Conch Fritters, they were delicious. And for meals my partner had the Mahi Tacos and I had the Pistachio Encrusted Mahi Wrap. The wrap was flavorful and everything was cooked to perfection.

We ended with a slice of key lime pie. Would definitely return here.

This was right next to our hotel. We stopped by for drinks and appetizers with the sunset. The view was fantastic and the tuna nachos were delicious. The scallops were very big and so fresh.

Great anniversary dinner. Sat at the long bar facing the water. Couldn't decide what we wanted so we got their ultimate indecision. The crab cake stuffed lobster tails were yummy, served with drawn butter. The crab chunks were excellent dipped in cocktail sauce. Three shrimp and 3 scallops and a nice Mahi Mahi filet rounded out the seafood served over a delicious bed of sautéed veggies and rice. But why serve 3 scallops and shrimp for 2 people? Make it 2 or 4 because with three invariably the hubby wins out. It's tough to cook that variety of seafood all perfectly but Snooks nailed it. And we got a celebratory slice of key lime pie served with a sparkler on the house. It was delicious! Great music, 70s classics. Perfect for this aged crowd.

Wonderful location, menu choices, and atmosphere. Our server has too many tables tonight but we could see him hustling.

I called earlier in the week because I wanted to do a sunset dinner here and once I arrived today it was closed for a private event. Why couldn’t they inform me this over the phone? I feel like that would be a helpful thing to mention especially after driving almost 2 hours here like I mentioned on the phone. I assume that if the entire restaurant is closed for an event they knew about it in advance so I just don’t understand. I was excited for my dinner and to show up to this place being closed really put a damp start to the weekend. It’s honestly completely ridiculous and I had a great dinner at Bayside instead

LOVE it! Helpful, friendly staff, great atmosphere and tasty food! Very "Keysey" in that there are several nice tiki bars including the Grand Tiki, they often have live entertainment, and magnificent views of the Florida Bay. Edward the GM is cool, kind, and guest focused as are the whole staff. Chef Gasline Marcelin prepares delicious food and you can almost taste the love. I had the fish sandwich which was grilled to perfection and tasted fresh & moist. The bun it was on was also deelish! Have been DJ&MC for several events here, and always enjoy the experience . Highly recommend!!

The food was clearly over priced. The price did not match the taste. We drove from Deerfield Bch and stopped in for a bite.
Conch fritters- overcooked, barely know conch inside
Fried Snapper- lack flavor
Big belly burger- lack flavor
Side of shrimp (4) $18 crazy.
Thank God for the beautiful scenery. I could sit there and look all day. The waitress was great as well.
Excuse the roosters and chickens joining us from time to time....
