What a disgusting representation of our VFW and our veterans. How indulgent can you be? You charge $600 to sit in a booth, because you call it a Speakeasy. It's a palace of luxury for people who don't care about Veterans. You set a place for people to remind us of our Veterans and post fake pictures. Are they even people from our community? Did you ever recognize anything about the fact that you shut it down and didn't let our own veterans back in? You created a facade that is intended to make money and hopefully you are putting all that amazing $600 a booth money towards Veteran Administration hospitals. It's an affront to everything a VFW Post should be, unless you think it's okay to sit in a lap of luxury at the expense of our Veterans, supporting a misrepresentation of what a post should really be and can't imagine what $600 for a booth in one night could do for the life of one Veteran for a month. If I could give it zero stars I would. But I was tempted to give five stars to the service but then I think it would offset my review. They were great. The service is excellent but obviously it's their job and they do it well. They don't have to question the purpose of a VFW. It's not their job but it is ours as a community.
On a side note, The operators are complacent and appeasing treating bad reviews with polite dismissal. Those reviews are from true veterans and all positive reviews are from people looking for a speakeasy and considering it just a restaurant and bar without a true recognition for its purpose just like the people running it.
I suggest you find a local restaurant that truly serves the Florida Keys. If you want a restaurant and bar. If you want to support veterans, go to the American Legion And go past this place that misrepresents itself as an honor to our Veterans.

Great place. Love the decor and hand crafted cocktails..delicious! Can be very busy on the weekend. Music is good. No stars for the food, because we did not try. But the cocktails 10/10 !!!

What a fun experience! From the tunnel entrance to radioing the password to enter and then the amazing drinks and food! Fantastic! You must get the Key Lime Pie Martini. It is so thick that they bring you a little spoon to get every bite. My husband I both got the filet with potato mash. Excellent! A little pricey but well worth it.

Great food, great service, and the most unique atmosphere in Key largo. If you're tired of the same Sysco truck keys food, do yourself a favor and try this place. The food is amazing, and you get an experience that is fun and nostalgic at the same time. With authentic veterans and military items decorating the walls, and the 1940's music. It creates an ambience that is different from anything else in the keys.

The Armory is a very special place and I always enjoy my visit. However, recently the general atmosphere and ambiance presented, which is outstanding, is not enhanced or supported by the current music loop currently being played. The Armory is a step up from the usual Margarita Bars found everywhere in the Keys, and in my opinion, should not be playing some techno crap sound loop. It just doesn't fit. Please bring back Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett etc. which is far more appropriate. I will continue to visit the Armory but feel that the music being played right now just doesn't work.
