We were so looking forward to our experience, at the Fish House, but we're extremely disappointed in how bland the fish and scallops were and how chewey and tasteless the shrimp was. The only redeeming dish was the clam chowder. It was very good.
For such an expensive meal, it was a major disappointment.

This is a very cute restaurant we just happened to come across after kayaking in John Pennekamp. It was amazing. The servers were sweet and their trademark dish was amazing!!! I believe it was called the Matecumbe! Absolutely worth a shot. Their fish was fresh for everything else too!

Super fun vibe. The food is amazing. I had hush puppies (A+), fried crab cake (A), and fish tacos (A-; very good basic taco but needs the creamy white sauce they provide to give it flavor). I like really flavorful food (read: well seasoned) so read my review within that context.

Had a really wonderful, delicious dinner here. Paid for it, but definitely worth it.
If you like fish, get their fresh catch of the day, whatever it is. I had parmesan encrusted Mahi Mahi with a tasty lemon butter sauce. I'm far from a fish expert, but goddamn it was tasty.
Their key lime pie was good, not great. I'm not sure what exactly was going on, but the "toasted" merengue on top was a bit odd. It developed a skin and really had no flavor. The custard underneath was great, though.
I also got their cocktail special (which I've forgotten the name of) but it was fun. It had little edible silver stars that added some sparkle and gave a nice little crunch with every sip. For the entree, key lime pie, cocktail, plus 20% tip, it came to ~$75.
I sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice. She chatted with me just a bit, just what I wanted. I also rode their on my bike, but forgot my lock and wasn't comfortable leaving it out their unlocked. I asked to bring the bike inside and leave it in a quiet/unused part of the restaurant and the manager had no problem with it. So thank you to him!

Our server was attentive. All the food we ordered came out good and fresh. Now, Im a huge fan of key lime pie and after reading some reviews I had high expectations for it, but I found it to be just ok, nothing out of the ordinary.
