Of all the restaurants we tried in Key West, this was our favorite. Food was delicious (crepes a must-have) and service was perfect both times we dined there. I did not realize how expensive everything is in Key West, but we felt like dining here was a great value. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner - super sweet and helpful!

This is my second time eating in this restaurant. I came back for the Eggs Benedict with Key Lime Hollandaise but we also tried the key lime crepes. They we about the best thing I have ever tasted! The service is great and very polite.

This was a lot of fun. It was crowded and packed full of stuff, which I don't love. But it's a great Key West vibe. I loved the tuna sandwich which has green beans on it and some potato. The green beans totally made the dish. (The server recommended another restaurant for a drink. We had a wonderful time there hanging out admiring the roosters and a chicken table smoother at the next location not Banana Cafe). Overall Banana Cafe has great food and great alcohol drinks / cocktails.

We created many great memories during our 2025 Key West Caravan with Central Florida Corvette Association (CFCA) friends. This year 14 members in 7 cars headed down Friday, 10-3-25, to enjoy blue skies, beaches, sunsets, historical sights, great food and quality time with friends.

This place was delicious. An easy walk from our hotel, but an amazing find. The seafood omelette was fantastic. And, of course, banana muffin was hot from the oven.

We had breakfast at Banana Cafe on Duval Street. The place is spacious and has a nice, airy atmosphere. The menu offered plenty of options that matched our taste, and the food itself was flavorful and well-prepared.
However, our overall experience was disappointing. Our breakfast took more than 30 minutes to arrive and was served cold. The lemonade was extremely sour, and the prices were quite high for what we received. The final bill came close to $200, including a 20% tip automatically added to the check — which we felt was not deserved given the very slow service.
On top of that, they charge an extra 3% fee for credit card payments, which we found unreasonable.
In summary, while the food was tasty and the atmosphere pleasant, the slow service, high prices, and hidden fees took away from the overall experience.

We visited on September 23, 2025. The portions are decent size. Food was good. Service was terrible. We weren’t checked on after receiving our food. The server was at the table across from us and failed to turn around to see how everything was or if he could refill my empty cup. My husband stopped the food runner and asked him for a refill which he did without complaint and is the only reason for a Two Star on service otherwise it would have been a One Star. The server received the worst tip I’ve given in a long time!
