We went to Blackfin bistro and it was phenomenal. Being from Chicago, I am very picky about food, but this place totally delivered. Great wine list, delicious appetizers and greta min courses. We had the the artisanal cheese board, and chorizo mussels for apps. I had the Ahi Tuna and my guest had the 1/2 chicken for dinner. We loved everything! I have been to Key West 12 times and Blackfin Bistro will be a permanent stop on every trip in the future.

We are locals and like to take advantage of local special month to discover new restuarants. We saw that this restuarant had a high rated. The first thing we noticed was the place was a bit worn out. There were flies gathering near a window. The salt and pepper shakers were dirty and corroded. We pushed them away. We ordered our food and it was okay, We originally went for a local early August discount and it was listed as all foods 50% off and after we ordered and ate were told sorry one of the entrees was excluded. Escargot was served in some kind of soupy green mix with can mushrooms. The escargots were the size of a pinkie nail and lost on the mixture. The gray tile fish was tasteless and rubbery. The Wagyu burger was also a letdown. Dont know how it was award a Bubba. The wine tasted like vinegar. The salad and bread was the only redeeming item. We will not go again even for 50% off.

Nice and cosy little restaurant with delicious food. The whole family enjoyed licked their plates clean, that’s how delicious it was ! The lobster roll was particularly tasty. A bit pricey but the quality is there.

Locals Take Note! We had an incredible dinner at Blackfin Bistro — easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had! Michael was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the service overall was top-notch.
We ordered tapas-style and were impressed with every single dish. The escargot was absolutely outstanding — perfectly cooked.The Maine lobster roll — easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The lobster was fresh, tender, and the bread was soft with just the right texture. It came with truffle chips that were crispy, aromatic, and the perfect accompaniment.
The atmosphere was perfect. With the August locals discount, it’s a no-brainer — but honestly, I’d come back full price without hesitation.
The best dinner we had in Key West. Delicious food. Attentive staff. Dishes are thoughtful and well executed. The gazpacho was really well done. Bonus points for the music playlist being ON POINT.

All around this restaurant is amazing. I come to the Florida Keys quite often and this is always a must stop place when here! Everything about it is top notch from the food to the service! Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in Key West.

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone as you have a confirmed dinner reservation on the 4th of July and then they post online two days before the 4th saying they will be closed, and don’t bother to reach out to any reservations letting them know. Terrible, terrible way to run a business! Glad we didn’t go
