We visited this place for what many people claim to be the best key lime pie in Key West, and it was also meant to be our last drink before leaving the island. We sat at the bar, but unfortunately the service was extremely disappointing. The bartender was very inattentive and seemed to intentionally avoid making eye contact, which resulted in us waiting over 15 minutes just to get his attention. At first, I honestly wondered if we were being treated differently because we are Asian, but the women sitting next to us mentioned that he had been behaving the same way toward them as well. We eventually ordered a slice of key lime pie and a glass of wine, which my (slightly drunk) husband ordered. I immediately said I didn’t want the wine, but the bartender didn’t confirm the order with us and placed it anyway. As for the key lime pie, it didn’t taste particularly special, and I couldn’t understand the balance between the key lime filling and the meringue topping. I was really surprised and disappointed to have this kind of experience at one of the most popular restaurants in Key West.

OMG I’m obsessed with this place! Its vibe is the essence of funk! Live music: check, visual artist on site: check, fab alcohol menu: check, super cool lighting and props: check!!! Wait staff was engaging and knowledgeable. All in all, this was so much more than a restaurant, or a night spot. It is a transformational space of illumination, enlightenment, and reflective transportation. I could live there!

Brunch at Blue Heaven absolutely lived up to the hype… and then some.
The atmosphere alone is classic Key West: relaxed, quirky, and full of character, making it the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy a great meal.
I ordered the Lobster Benedict and it was hands-down one of the best Benedicts I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked eggs, rich and flavorful hollandaise, and generous pieces of lobster that didn’t feel like an afterthought. Every bite was spot on.
Service was friendly and unhurried, the drinks were solid, and the whole experience felt authentic rather than touristy… even though it’s clearly a must-visit spot. If you’re in Key West and love brunch, Blue Heaven is one of those places you’ll remember long after the trip is over. There will likely be a wait, but so worth it!
Highly recommend and I’d go back in a heartbeat.

This was our second time returning to Blue Heaven, and we had an amazing dinner. Most recently, we attended for their new years even dinner, and the menu they offered was simply great. Everything was very good, it was decent portion sizes, and included dessert and a glass of champagne. That evening they had a live band and I think the ambience was nice such that we could enjoy the music, but it wasn't overpowering. We really love the Banana Heaven dessert and highly recommend saving space for this is you dine here!

Dee Dee was a wonderful waitress! I was recommended to eat here for breakfast and get key lime pie. The lobster benny and pie were soooo delicious! Will definitely be back when we are in the Keys again.

Really unique outdoor breakfast space. Very Key West. Almost like someone's backyard with roosters and chickens roaming, but still feels very restauranty. Food and coffee were top notch. Service unmatched. Hope to enjoy breakfast here again.

A must place to visited when in Key West, well known for it friendly outdoor setting with the Keys atmosphere patio’s area with roosters and chickens walking around. Did the New Year’s Eve breakfast and it was more than perfect. There are at times a wait to get in but believe me it worthwhile waiting since there a shop and bar across the street you can spend time while waiting, again the Blue Heavens is a must when in Key West.

I went here 20 years ago and LOVED it. Returned this week - and LOVED it. It’s still as good as ever. Especially the Bananas Heaven dessert. It’s truly a masterpiece and I’m really tempted to make an annual trip to Key West just to enjoy it.
