I am a local and wanted my guests to experience the charm of Rams Head. Despite making reservations over two weeks ago we were seated inside (and not able to enjoy the beautiful patio). We were offered the choice to wait 30 minutes for an outside table but what's the point of a reservation?? There was an empty table outside that could have accommodated us. If the party who reserved THAT available table was not there, then why couldn't we have taken it?? Help me understand who is getting preference to the most desirable tables when making a reservation?? (However, our waitress was delightful!)

The only negative is there's a trash can by the smoothie cart that attracts flies that is uncovered. As soon as our food arrived we were then swarmed by the flies.

Just stopped in for a quick bite. Server was very nice, but service slow. He had too many tables. Therefore food arrived cold. But, it was great that they took reservations

Great tasty good looking food! My crab cake was best I have had in Key West. Chickens, and chicken repellent were enjoyed!

Overall one of the least impressive meals we've had since being in key west. First we made a reservation for 6:45 well in advance and it took the hostess 10 minutes to seat us. Then when she sat us, we sat up against the back of the frozen drink boat that sits out front of the restaurant, which smelled like complete garbage. It was like sitting in the middle of a garbage truck. We thought of getting up and leaving but our kids were pretty hungry. So we pinched our noses during the meal (buyer beware with the frozen drinks outside). The waitress was quite overwhelmed despite it not seeming to be very busy. She actually was very you're good and was the highlight of the dinner. The food then arrived and mostly was cold. My shimp tacos had probably been prepared at least 25 minutes in advance. The least they could do would be to put it under a heat lamp. The outdoor music was below average. Not much better than a high school band. With so many good options for food and ambiance on Key West I'd recommend looking for a different establishment that will serve the same food in an environment that doesn't smell of a trash truck and you hopefully you can get it warm. Plus side though is they do provide squirt bottles to ward off pesky chickens and roosters.

3/16/2025 After receiving a wonderful lunch/brunch experience with excellent service, we returned for a drink at the bar. Earlier enjoyed the roosters drinks and brunch, and tipped 40 on a 120 bill (we are all former servers) When I returned around 3:30 pm the bar was empty, I sat there for several minutes as the bartender chatted with her colleagues.… Another (white) couple came minutes later, the bartender immediately served them craft drinks without making eye contact with me. Hard to think my brown skin didn’t have anything to do with this outrageous neglect. Will never frequent again if this is how you represent yourselves as a business. Do better.

Good was great and service was quick. Live music was good as well. Coming from MD we made sure to stop in and support a business with Maryland roots. Get the crab dip, you won't regret it.

Loved it here! We arrived early and enjoyed the back patio with a cocktail while we waited...they had ping pong, Jenga, corn hole, and even swings at the back bar!
Good food, fun atmosphere, and they had squirt bottles on the tables just in case the chickens got too frisky!

Loved Having the option of gluten-free toast for my avocado toast! Fantastic, our server was great, fun to sit and watch the native chickens wander around while listening to some local music talent. Avocado, toast and fish tacos were excellent.

What a treat! My husband had visited Rams Head on a cruise. He talked about being the best Bloody Mary. We arrived around 10 am on a Monday morning. We were greeted and quickly sat near the bar. Our server was friendly and efficient. I had the vegetable omelette and my husband had the seafood omelette. Both were cooked to perfection! My husband of course had the Bloody Mary and I enjoyed the Bushwhacker. 10 out of 10!
We will make this a first stop at every Key West getaway!

Full disclosure, our group of 6 was headed to the famous Blue Heaven for breakfast but weren't willing to spend 2 hours waiting for a table. One block away is this GEM of a restaurant..no wait, great morning beverages ☕️and 🍸. Best vodka and orange juice drink! The omelets, steak and eggs, and eggs benediction were fantastic and the portions are huge, leaving some leftovers for the next day. And, we spent a LOT less money than we would have at some of the other places. After 4 days, our group puts this meal in the top 3 and we ate a LOT of great food at different places!
