The chef and the food creations were exceptional. Unfortunately, we happened to try Cafe Marquesa on a night when the staff had her small daughter there for dinner- the young child was having a difficult time being in control. It was not expected (by anyone) and unfortunately took away from our experience.
I had been to the restaurant in mid August alone dining at the bar. A friendly, knowledgeable bartender, Josh that made the evening and dining experience even nicer. I enjoyed my Aug. experience so much I reserved a table for my family last evening when our adult children flew in for one of their weddings this upcoming weekend. Café Marquesa met our expectations. The place is very nice, quiet, elegant. The food was excellent, particularly the pork ossobuco and the duck, both entre choices were extraordinary. Our appetizers were good but less memorable (foie gras and crab cake). The service by Diana was absolutely outstanding! So far the best restaurant I have experienced in Key West.
