I've been wanting to try this place for years, but we never got around to it. my husband and I went tonight, and it was a total regret. bathrooms are absolutely vile . I was scared I was going to slip and fall because the floors were soaked for some reason. I ordered the lobster bisque and my husband and I both ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. the bisque had a weird taste and not 1 piece of lobster. I sent it back. the bacon wrapped shrimp were not good. the sauce they put on them made them even worse. way too many flavors that don't compliment each other. the shrimp were TINY and the crab stuffing was super dry and way too salty. our waiter was in such a hurry and couldn't be bothered to actually talk to us. Basically what do you want, here's your check. it's a tourist trap with loud music. the drunks love it. if you're not drinking, and have taste buds, go elsewhere
Husband order the Conch chowder the seasoning was on point it was very good but didn’t get much conch that’s disappointing. I ordered the snapper with veggies wasn’t good to me it’s fishy. Overall the atmosphere was amazing the staff is super friendly I’d definitely give it another try.

Amazing restaurant. The prices are worth it. The St. Kitt's Pasta was perfectly rich. The coconut mojito was so refreshing in the heat of the evening. And the key lime pie....? Really, really good. Not to mention the amazing views... Will be back for sure.
Very tasty food; pleasant atmosphere; nice staff!

We ordered a blackened mahi sandwich on 9/13/25. They had obviously cut the filet in half to cut cost. It was mostly bread, with a wilted piece of lettuce and mushy tomato. The slice of onion had been divided: my husband got one piece and I got the other. The key lime pie tasted like it had been in the freezer for a year, and the red sauce they drizzled over it had no taste, but it did have a strange aftertaste. We ate at Hobos Cafe on our way home and it was wonderful, enough to make us forget the gross food at Conch Republic Seafood Company. They should take lessons from Hobos Cafe. The servers at Conch Republic were all so nice and the place is lovely, but we will not be returning because ultimately, a restaurant should have excellent food, especially at those prices.

The place is large with tons of seating overlooking the water, we had the calamari and smokehouse burger with a couple of beers. Calamari was good cooked well and there white bbq sauce had some zip. The burger with side garden salad was not burger was overcooked and pretty flavourless and the salad dressing was just blah. They did offer to remake the burger but as we already ate half wasn’t that hungry to eat more. Our waitress was great and food came out quick.

Seafood, Views & Tourist Energy, All Anchored Here!
If you wander down to the historic Key West Bight hungry, Conch Republic is that place where the sea meets your belly and your wallet weeps a little. The view’s fabulous, the drinks are strong, but the dining is “tourist trap” in the best way possible.
What hits:
The Raw or Steamed Oysters melt in your mouth, or they pretend to — definitely better than most oysters I’ve met.
Key West Pink Peel & Eat Shrimp is basically flavour and saltwater making sweet music together.
Their Conch Chowder is comfort in a bowl rich, hearty, perfect if you just did something dumb like walk in the hot Key West sun without sunscreen.
Big props for the bar scene: drinks are solid, bartenders hustle, and your Mojito will arrive before you finish complaining about traffic.
What misses or is meh:
Portions of “fritters” or “stuffed” items sometimes lean heavy on the bread or filler, light on the actual stuff (like conch or filling) — you’ll pay premium for “seafood personality.”
Because this place is in one of the most prime waterfront spots, be ready for waiting, sitting in the sun (if outside), and prices that nod heavily to views + location.
Final thoughts:
Conch Republic Seafood Co is total Key West vibes. It’s loud, lovely, sometimes crowded, but often worth it. If you want perfect seafood by the water with character (and a chance to meet someone from literally everywhere), this is the spot. Just maybe pace yourself on the fritters and don’t expect every dish to be Michelin-level magic.
Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I make reservations early or arrive starving? Also yes.

We were recommended to go here by our hotel. The food was amazing and ridiculously fresh! I don’t know what they did to their vegetables, but they were fantastic too! It was served fast! The people were friendly and efficient. It’s right on the water so you can watch the boats. I do recommend that you eat inside since the pigeons & Gull’s are outside.
