Cuban Coffee Queen Downtown (Southard and Duval)

I’m truly saddened that Cuban Coffee Queen bought my favorite ice cream place … Whitt’s. Now for the third time, I’ve come into Key West and you’ve Closed EARLY! First it was 10pm, then 9pm, then 8pm and now you’re closing before 7pm!!! Why? I’ve been a regular customer for six years. Now I can’t have ice cream after dinner. You always have wonderful staff with Noki and Igor and his wife. They are always wonderful. Such a shame. This is just sad!

Pricey and my iced coffee tasted very watered down. My husbands mocha frapp had huge chunks in it like it wasn’t blended well. We were on our way out of the city and stopped here since we have heard good things- didn’t get to taste anything until we were already in the car. I’d be willingly to give them another try in the future since I have heard such good things, but we just didn’t have that great of an experience for how expensive it was.

I have rated this store before but felt it eas worth updating. Great Cafe Con Leche. The sweet tea tastes fresh and the sandwiches are out of this world. The last sandwich we had was the Jose Marti. You can get it with chicken or pulled pork. The macaroni and cheese is good. They have hot sauce for the black beans and rice. It is very good that way.
You still get to eat with the chickens, roosters and pigeons.

I had a mocha iced coffee and it was delicious. The employees working at the time was super nice as well. I even got to sit next to a beautiful rooster while I drank my coffee!
