One of our best memories of Key West.. went there twice in 4 days! Ordered grouper and lobster fresh and they grilled it to perfection.

Solid seafood option with fresh seafood options to cook at home inside on ice. Outside seating with shade & fans (thank God). Beer options and key lime pie slices in the freezer. Pictured are the clam strips and tuna sandwich.

Food was excellent!!! As someone who doesn’t eat fresh fish like this often, when I asked the girl working for help it somewhat seemed like an inconvenience to educate me on the different fish, but I ended up with the blackened snapper tacos & it was great! 2 people in my party had stone crab & they were thrilled. Outdoor eating was perfect!

Day 1, really enjoyed my blackened fish dish. the person cooking, cooked the fish perfectly. very tasty and not dry, decent portion of fish. Day 2, portion of fish and fries is considerably smaller, and sweet potato fries are dry and over brown like reheated. staff are still very pleasant.

Quite tasty food and the seafood is very fresh.
The service? Not worthy of an endorsement.
We ordered several menu items including the stone crab chowder. It tasted very good but parts of it were ice cold. It was likely pre-made, which is fine. But soup should be served warm.
I took it to the counter and requested it be reheated. The person taking orders was oddly irritated by this and threw it into the garbage because I had put some of the provided crackers on top.
“We can’t take this back.”
Take it back? I just asked for it to be reheated. Just put it in the microwave for 30-40 seconds. There was no need to trash it. What a waste.
It took a very long time but the new bowl of soup finally arrived.
Was it hot? It was scalding. It burnt my tongue along with the roof of my mouth and was inedible. I waited 15 minutes for it to cool and it was still far too hot to consume. This felt like a pissy payback for complaining that the previous bowl was partially cold.
There was no need for this. We were not rude and we spent more than $100 for lunch here, which is borderline outrageous. We came here based on someone’s recommendation and we were looking for a pleasant lunch. This truly sullied it.
Bottom line: very flavorful food but I cannot recommend any eatery that holds its customers in contempt for requesting that their warm food be served warm.
Do not treat your customers as enemies if you want them to return. We will not return.
I got some Key West pink shrimp from the seafood counter. Took it home and grilled them, the best shrimp I've ever had!

Disappointing Experience at Eaton Restaurant
I recently visited Eaton Restaurant and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. I ordered the Snapper and Fries Basket, hoping for a fresh, flavorful seafood meal, but what I received was a big letdown. The snapper was clearly not fresh. It came out looking and tasting like a cheap, frozen fish stick. The batter had that unmistakable prepackaged texture and flavor, and there were only four small pieces, each about the size of a chicken tender. Instead of a well-balanced dish, the plate was overloaded with fries to make up for the lack of quality fish. Worse yet, everything was fried far too dark and tasted bland, as if it had been cooked in old oil. For a restaurant, especially one that features seafood, I expected better than freezer aisle food.
Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend Eaton Restaurant based on this visit. There’s too much good food out there to settle for something that tastes this uninspired.

Every time we visit Key West, this place is our first stop because the food and outdoor seating are amazing. The lobster is incredibly fresh and delicious, as are the crab cakes.

Tasty seafood sandwiches. Fresh fish prepared and displayed on ice are cooked upon request to form meals. We had three lobster roll ($30), yellow tail redfish sandwich ($20), fried conch fritters ($20), and a grouper fish platter ($20). All we prepared quickly. Seating is limited. There are two seats at an inside counter, but most shit outside under covered tables and misting fans for cool eating. Drinks were cold from convenience coolers and they have a selection of wine bottles and beer varieties. We had a delicious lunch and enjoyed watching the Key West chickens strolling through the dining area.

Amazing food!! Try the conch fritters! The stone crab chowder though, I bet, you wouldn’t be able to differentiate from regular chowder. So, I’d pass on it. It is a little pricey but worth it for the size, flavor and unique taste of the keys.
