I had a wonderful experience at El Meson de Pepe’s Restaurant & Bar! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Cuban flavor, but what really stood out was the excellent service. Our waiter, José, was attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. His professionalism and kindness truly elevated our dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Key West—you’ll enjoy great food, a lively atmosphere, and outstanding service.

Get the #80. You wont be disappointed! My husband and I always share this one when in town. Delicious variety and love the atmosphere! The location is perfect to end your evening with the Mallery square sunset! Beautiful!

We visited El Meson De Pepe’s to celebrate my daughter’s 17th birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The exterior atmosphere was lively and fun with great music, friendly staff, and plenty of seating. For a more intimate celebration, we chose to dine inside and were fortunate to be assisted by Charlie. He went above and beyond to make our evening special, providing excellent service and surprising my daughter with a birthday dessert so we could sing happy birthday. Thank you for helping us create such a memorable night!

Amazing service, the two of us shared the completas do we got to try three dishes in one. We couldn’t finish it! They also start you out with hot bread. The atmosphere is also really fun! Must try!

Family run place, has tastes that I grew up with but it definitely could have used a little more salt and pepper but other than that it was pretty good, and the atmosphere and decor was great lots of history on the walls. I would say it caters to tourists but still worth a visit

Food is great. Indiana Jones style decor inside makes you feel the bygone era of rum smugglers in the keys. Our server appeared more focused on entertaining other tables instead on keeping up with our orders, had to get up twice to get utensils, salt shaker and drink that I ordered from bar. The beer that I first ordered was rather warm, and being the first course of drinks I believe it got like that from sitting on the bar for too long before being picked up. Decided to grab my glass of white wine myself after seeing it sitting on the bar and our server paying no attention to it. 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill.

Excellent authentic Cuban food right next to Mallory Square, Key West. Service was prompt and everything we all ate was excellent. We had lunch and the prices were reasonable for that. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely.

This is the second time that I visited this place, and therefore is just amazing. So the Sopa de plátano (plantain soup)? was the best, and the Ropa Vieja was absolutely delicious. The waiters are always in a good mood, makes you feel very comfortable, and the whole vibe of the place is great. We just got lucky and there was a salsa group playing and singing right in front of the restaurant. Great experience. I will Always come back when in Key West.

This is a “must visit” when you go to Key West! Authentic, real Cuban cuisine! Everyone who works here are fantastic, and the food is “to die for “! The shining star of Mallory Square! Nothing bad about this place - full meal for two and an afternoon at the bar (Corona) came to $60 with the tip. The live Latin music on the patio was awesome!

ropa vieja with plantain chips and cheese appetizer was amazing. Fried yucca with the garlic mojo was fantastic. All of our meals were great. Great place to be eating while beating the heat. Also have a gift shop in the restaurant
