Met the falafel king today and had the schwarma. They were doing renovations but one of the guys showed us the way round back. Amazing food, was pretty quick. Cash only though.

We stopped in for a late lunch/hold-me-over. My wife and I ordered a falafel platter to share. The owner was very friendly, answered all my questions and got our platter ready quickly.
The slaw was basic red cabbage and mayo and quite tasty. The diced cucumber and tomato salad was also good. The hummus was top notch and the falafel were great.
The there's the pita. Oh the pita! Hands down the best pita my taste buds have ever seen!
There's no dining area to speak of. We ate on a stool at a bar top looking out the front window.
A must-visit restaurant on the outskirts of Mallory square in Key West. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It’s a very small place. Good Mediterranean food. We tried hummus pita and falafel pita both were very delicious. Quick service.

Just had an excellent falafel sandwich on pita bread from The Falafel King. It was excellent, packed with veggies and spicy falafel. It did not disappoint!!

Great staff and delicious eats. Laid back and very affordable for the area. I love the pita grilled w/cheese, eggs, and tomato.

**Review: Terrible Experience with Unprofessional Staff**
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this place. Although their sign said they’re open until 9 PM, we arrived at 8:30 PM, only to find the staff lounging outside, drinking beer with friends. When we approached them, one employee told us bluntly that they were done working for the day and suggested we call the boss or come back tomorrow.
This is beyond unacceptable. If you advertise that you’re open until 9 PM, you should be ready to serve customers until that time. The staff’s attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, and their behavior was far from what you’d expect in a professional setting.
To the owner or manager: If you’re reading this, you seriously need to rethink your staffing choices. This was the worst experience I’ve had, and it left a terrible impression. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place.
Customer service is very good! Food was delicious!!

Very tasty kebab pocket!Cheap and cheerful, and it's one of the places where the locals eat.Highly recommend. I went in and ate mine, 2 hours later I brought the missus back, and she loved her falafel too!

The falafel was not good and was stale. The falafel had guacamole which doesn’t belong on a falafel, it was in an alley which seemed dirty and dangerous (at night). Would not recommend…
Vegetarian options: The falafel was vegetarian but it was very bad.
