First Flight Island Restaurant & Brewery

It was very busy and unexpectedly so as the wait staff was short handed, but our hostess and our waiter were great. We enjoyed the energy at the outside space. We will be back. PR/BG

Probably our best restaurant experiences is First Flight. The Yellow Tail Snapper (whole fish) is incredible.

The prices and portions were great. The food probably would have been good but the server neglected to bring it when it was ready. Food was cold and weakly seasoned. Server also added in a huge gratuity for herself even though we were just a party of five. The manager did a great job adjusting the bill and was very apologetic for the issues.

Wonderful atmosphere and restaurant theme added to the terrific menu and service. We love this place. Classy yet casual.

Our first visit to First Flight and we had a great time. The location is perfect, the cocktails were amazing, the food was delicious and plentiful, the vibe was fun and chill, and the staff (bartenders and wait staff) were friendly and attentive. What more could you ask for? We will definitely return!

The food was average and our server was distracted throughout. However, the history of the location, its atmosphere, and pricing were all very good.

We really enjoyed our time at First Flight, from the atmosphere to the food! But we especially enjoyed the service. Lorena was wonderful—attentive, personable and a joy to interact with. The conch fritters were good, as were the steak tacos, tropical salad, and swordfish. A varied menu with reasonable prices.

Food and drinks and vibe were great! However, what made our experience to another level was our rockstar server Jay! If you go, and he's working, be sure to ask to sit in his section.

We both had the skirt steak meal and it was delicious. Our waitress was the best. 10/10 for food and service. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and service. Do NOT recommend the oreo key lime pie. Did not taste like key lime pie. Otherwise everything was fantastic.

Food and services was good. The biggest issues is they are no longer splitting checks for groups of 6 or more it seems. All they could offer was to equally divide it with up to 4 cards! Makes it difficult with some having more than one drink, some getting appetizers for meal and some ordering entries! Not going back or if we do will split our group into 2 tables of 4. NOT GROUP FRIENDLY!!!

Spectacular event planner and wedding venue!

Justin and his team went so far above and beyond to make our day a special one, there hardly seem to be words adequate to describe how happy we are with our experience. A year prior to our (58m, 61m) June 2025 destination wedding, Justin worked very closely with us to ensure every detail was covered. Our event (just over 50 people) took over the entire upstairs of the restaurant: pavilion, terrace, and library. Every piece fell into place perfectly: seating, buffet, decorations, sound system, traffic flow, and all the physical logistics. As anyone who’s planned an event like this can tell you, there are plenty of opportunities for things not to follow plan. If that happened, we never knew about it. Everything about the Caribbean-themed buffet – variety, taste, quantity, accessibility – was amazing. We can’t wait to return to Key West and be regular restaurant customers! If you’re looking for a hassle-free event where every “I” is dotted and every “t” crossed well before it needs to be, First Flight should be your destination.
