NEVER had a bad experience in Key West until encountering the very rude “security” here…..one drink here on St Patricks day at 12:20 and had my drink taken out of my hand and thrown away bc clearly they wanted to go home. One drink all night and was “cut off”….this place used to be fun but I will never go back….get staff that actually want to be there!

Jan 19 2025, My main complaint tonight is against a European security guy that works in the 3rd Floor. Once they started closing, he approached me from behind, tapped my shoulder and spoke to me in a demeaning and condescending manner, telling me to leave the place because they were closing. I was well aware that they were closing and there was still a lot of people upstairs getting ready to leave. He approached me with an attitude and treated me like I was a drunk person and I wasn’t drunk. I served 20 years in the Marine Corps and I’m enjoying my retirement as a local now. I told him that he didn’t have to talk to me like that and then he didn’t know how to act . He had no tact to deal with customers.
Recommendation: someone should talk to this individual and train him on how to use tact with customers. Otherwise, more veterans or regular customers will continue to complain and this could affect the business.

My partner and I weren't impressed. We were ignored at the bar on the 2nd floor for unknown reasons and one of the dudes bartending got a bit of an attitude with us when we asked about their drinks. I was annoyed they're a cash only bar with the option of using a card for a minimum of $10 purchase. The music was decent. Much better than at other bars in the area. I didn't see anything particularly special about this bar to be honest but I appreciated that there were pool tables and other bar games. Smoking is apparently allowed inside as almost all the staff were smoking. Just not my cup of tea. We went to the 3rd floor ($10 cover? 🤣) and our experience aligns with what others reviewed here: basically your grandparents awkwardly dancing like it's the 80's in little to no clothing. The DJ caters to that crowd so the music is outdated. Great place to go if you're a Boomer; strange environment for anyone under 40.

Avoid this place at all costs. The staff so rude, it was the worst $100 I’ve spent for cover. The staff were openly homophobic, making the entire experience disgusting and uncomfortable. Don’t give them your money. Do not go to the upper floor it’s so uncomfortable.

i went out with a group of friends at the garden of eden, expecting to have a good time but was met with a very rude staff including an bouncer who was making contact in very unprofessional and inappropriate ways (putting hands on women) definitely not a safe environment for women. highly suggest not to go here, there is plenty of other bars.
It was ok. Not the prettiest people naked. Mostly the old folks were. Bouncer at the main door has an attitude. It’s a 3 story place. Downstairs has a band. One and done. I went twice same and had the same experience.

I mean, it's famous. My guy is a local and was excited to bring me here. We had a great time. Yes, some people were nude. No, I was not. I kind of got mad the next day when I overheard a guy in the hotel pool talking about Garden of Eden and how some people just don't need to be seen naked. What a jerk! When I was there, I saw people of all sorts, nude and otherwise, having a great time. Everybody was full of joy and thus were beautiful human beings. It's a great place to feel free in whatever way makes you happy as long as you're respectful of others. I thought it was cool. Great time.
