The staff is not attentive, we’ve dined for breakfast twice while staying at the Perry Hotel. After 12 minutes of waiting for my bottomless mimosa ($26) I walked to the bar to ask for it myself (watched it being made with a very small amount of orange juice and mostly champagne), meanwhile multiple chickens were eating the leftover food off a neighboring table since no staff has come outside to clear in over 12 minutes. Then waitress charged for individual mimosas and when questioned why it was so high she said we didn’t state we wanted “bottomless”, however they are only listed on the menu as bottomless, not as individual. Another time while dining inside they were vacuuming and the woman who appeared to be the manager apologized for the vacuuming but never had the employee stop vacuuming, so incredibly rude and not enjoyable to eat breakfast with that noise. Also ordered Irish coffee and it was terrible, almost all booze, very heavy on the whiskey, very little coffee. More booze does not make drinks better. I suspect this staff is not properly trained or it’s that they simply cannot hire qualified individuals to work in this restaurant, it’s so sad as in our multiple trips to the Perry over the prior four years were so much better, unfortunately we don’t think we will return here again.

We were guests of the adjoined hotel, so our group made a reservation for brunch 10:30am Sat Sep 7, 2024. The waitress was so rude that we decided to all leave before even ordering. All this because we asked if our group of 15 could have checks split a bit, something we’d been doing at other restaurants for 2 days with great service; we were so shocked at her nastiness.

Next day in the restaurant bar (the bartender was very friendly), the rude waitress saw us, and her coworker (who wasn’t even there the previous day) mentions to the bartender that “those people at the bar are “great people”, and made a stink face at me. Totally out of line and most of all, totally undeserved by us! This ruined our morning…now twice. Their service is a poor representation of a hotel that otherwise had great service. Some people do not belong in this industry, hire professionals

Excellent breakfasts, the view is incredible and it is the perfect place to relax, the waiters are very friendly, although the menu is short they have a very good seasoning.

There were only three other couples dining, when someone came to take our drink order she was very insistent she was not our server. When she brought our drinks she asked if our server had been by, they had not, she then got very annoyed and took our order. Very unpleasant, she was obviously not happy to wait on us. The omelet and smoked salmon sandwich were good. The breakfast was very expensive . The hotel was beautiful but the service made us feel unwelcome especially when it was indicated on the reservation that it was our anniversary. Mandatory 20% gratuity

Just flew in to Key West and Lyfted to Matt's. They had a special menu for brunch, but the yellowtail snapper BLT was the best sandwich I've ever had! Kimberly provided exceptional service, and we will be back!

Tonight was our second time here and it was just as perfect. Being from Charleston SC we have been to some excellent restaurants and this is right up there. The atmosphere, view, service, and food are all 110%

This use to be a great restaurant. I’d say 5 stars. Inspired. Perfectly executed…the works. And it’s still good but no longer 5 stars. I’d say 3.5.

Breakfast was till 11:30, we had a reservation, we were late (tried to call but nobody answered) so we got there at 11:20 and server refused to serve us, he said breakfast was over. thanks god there was a bartender and he said he could take our order so he gave us table outside, gave us great service, we placed order until 11:30, had breakfast and enjoyed. I don't know his name but we are thankful he took care of us

This place is an absolute gem!! This menu is short and concise yet done completely well. I got the shrimp linguine and my boyfriend got the chicken, and we licked the plates clean!!! It was so delicious and balanced. Also the shrimp cocktail was TO DIE FOR! soooo flavor! This place is a must, especially for a night date night. If the reviews are swaying you in a different direction, use this review as a sign that this place is a must try! I 100% recommend.

We stayed at the Perry Hotel and enjoyed Matt’s Stock Island Kitchen & Bar several times during our trip. We enjoyed breakfast one day with bottomless mimosas & great views of the marina. The bar we stopped at for dinner twice and highly recommend the cesar salad wrap along with a slice of key lime pie. We had 2 bar tenders during our visit Tee and Sofia. Tee made several activity and restaurant suggestions for us during our trip and was a joy to talk to. Sofia was very attentive, remembered us and made a great espresso martini. Highly recommend at least stopping by here for a drink on your next Key West visit!

If you visit Key West, your trip won't be complete without a stop at Matt's Stock Island Kitchen & Bar. The service is top-notch, and the quality of the menu, as well as its preparation, is exceptional. The ingredients are perfectly dosed, offering an unforgettable culinary experience. Plus, you'll enjoy unobstructed views of the state-of-the-art marina, outdoor fire pits, and exquisite cocktails. Definitely, it is a place that you cannot miss.

I’m only giving 5 starts because waiter Deon is the absolute best. We request her every time we go to Matt’s. But this time they wanted us to wait as waiters were busy with other large tables. We were sat down where Deon came to take our orders when she was approached by manager Alex. She then began to get upset because someone else didn’t get our table. We always request Deon so I didn’t see the issue. The manager Alex was so rude and continued to scold Deon for assisting our table as we had no other waiter assisting us. Alex made us feel uncomfortable and it was not professional of her to do what she did. Deon is the absolute best waiter and always made us feel comfortable and took care of our table. We will return because of Deon but the manager should have handled that differently and not in front of us .

Wow, what a beautiful Sunday brunch on the Patio at Matt's Stock Island. There were three of us and each of us loved our meal. The bottomless beverages just kept coming for our 2+ hour visit. Brandon, our server, was helpful with our meal selections and incredibly attentive throughout the whole meal. This experience is one that will be added to my recommendations to anyone visiting Key West. Well worth the trip to Stock Island!

Unfortunately we are food snobs who are lucky enough to eat frequently at James Beard and michelin restaurants. This is a lovely restaurant, Evan our waiter, was attentive and well informed, friendly but not invasive. However the food was just poor. Waaay over salted, pasta overcooked, bread was blatantly stale. Ingredients were fresh, but felt like they had been cooked by a brand new student. Certainly no pass chef. Too many other good restaurants to choose from. Hopefully they find a great chef team and turn it around
