Staying at the Perry Hotel and was pleasantly surprised at the breakfast we got at Matt's Stock Island Kitchen. Had classic Benedict, a new dish called salmon Frittata, steak and eggs. All dishes were well cooked and tasted fresh. The wedge potatoes were a little cold, maybe prepared much earlier, but flavor was okay. We all enjoyed our meal and will be back tomorrow for a second round of breakfast!

Nikola was without a doubt the best server we’ve ever had. He completely elevated our brunch experience and made everything feel effortless. The eggs Benedict was phenomenal and the waterfront views were beautiful, but Nikola’s service was on another level. Attentive without being overbearing, personable, and dialed in the entire time. This is exactly how hospitality should be. If you go, ask for Nikola, he makes the experience. Highly, highly recommend.

Server was either new or not attentive but in either case, not good. Drinks arrived after 20 minutes.
She didn't check us for refills on water and I had to as another server that was passing by for water.
The food was simply overpriced. The apps are definitely overpriced and overrated. The five of us spent over $420 for our meal which is outrageous for the amount of the food.
I would not recommend this restaurant unless you prefer to throw away your money. The Thursday special Red Snapper was excellent in presentation and quality. Just overpriced for just about everything.

Let’s just say $200+ later, and I’m home eating toast. We were eagerly anticipating our dinner at Matt’s, a new (to us) restaurant that has been on our short list of restaurants to try here in the Key West area for quite some time. The staff were friendly, and the location is beautiful. Service was slow and sporadic…. We both ordered the “she crab” soup, which was tasty, but cool and kind of coagulated. My craft cocktail (the best part of my meal) was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. The Caesar’s salad was tasty, fresh, and was uniquely constructed (deconstructed). Then things went south. Both of our meals (pork chop and center cut filet of beef) were severely overcooked. My husband’s medium rare center cut filet of beef came out medium-well (brown) and looked/tasted more like a cut up piece of roast. His sides were overcooked as well. I requested some “pink” in my pork chop, which came out so hard and dry that I did not eat it. When asked about our meals, we let the server know of our disappointment over the meats being overcooked, and she “corrected us,” saying that “medium-rare” is more cooked than “medium-well.” ?????? She then said that they were “good quality meats” (maybe BEFORE they were prepared, but not once we got them). At this point, we started getting swarmed by termites (outdoor seating), and just wanted to leave. We were offered complimentary desserts for our dissatisfaction with our entrees, which we gratefully accepted. Over twenty minutes passed with no desserts to be seen, so we just asked for the check and the desserts to go (at this point we were coated in swarming termites). The bagged-up desserts and the bill (we WERE charged for the desserts!!!) finally arrived (we didn’t bring up the fact that the desserts were supposed to be comped….we JUST WANTED TO GET OUT OF THERE). To give credit where it’s due, the chocolate crème brûlée was wonderful….the key lime pie, not so much….did not taste like lime. Maybe this was just an “off” night at Matt’s, but I doubt we will go back to find out. *I don’t post negative reviews unless I’m super disappointed…..this was a major dining fail.

The food was barely edible! Steak looked like it was reheated and very chewy. The chicken was very dry. Portions were small. Probably the worst food we had throughout our stay in Key Wes. Do not recommend

Beautiful restaurant with great views of the marina. Delicious food - the oysters and the shrimp linguini were both fantastic! Service was prompt and very kind.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. We were there on Valentines Day and ordered the Prix Fixe Menu. I had two lobster tails, my husband had the surf and turf. It was cooked to perfection and one of the best meals we have had in a long time. It was a little noisy and prices were $$$$. I would say though it was worth it. Definitely would go back.

There were 4 of us. All loved our breakfast. Highly recommend the blueberry pancakes. Fernando was a great server & a shout out to Willy in the kitchen. Don't hesitate to go for your next meal.

The omelet with onions, peppers, and mushrooms was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor, and the Belgian waffle was absolutely delicious. The stunning marina views created a serene, upscale ambiance, while the charming rooster and hen strolling around added a delightful island touch. It was an elegant and relaxing way to start each day during my stay at the Perry Hotel — I loved every moment.
