Frozen key limeade. If you pass this up, you’ll regret it. Super refreshing on a rather warm day. We did a lot of walking (4 miles) and when we got back to the marina area, this was a welcome and well needed drink.
Reasonable price and wonderful counter service. Plus, they have some outdoor seating to relax while sipping on the limeade.
We ordered a whole key lime pie and one cookie. The cookie was soft and fresh, and the pie was exactly what we hoped for—bright, tangy, and well balanced. We first tried a slice at another location and liked it best out of the local competition, so we came back for a full pie for Thanksgiving. Great choice for a holiday dessert. The price is worth the pie, especially because of it's size.
A cookie the size of your face, and it's delicious. Affogato, coffee and ice cream, fantastic!
Tasty cookies, I like it
Really delicious ice cream (and a big scoop) as well. Awesome.
BEST KEY LIKE PIE! We have been trying every key lime pie we find on this vacation up and down the keys, this has been the best by far!!! I also love the fact it is family owned 💚
This is such an amazing place to grab an ice cream after walking around key west. Definitely one of the most delicious I’ve tried. Their cake batter ice cream was amazing. I would definitely return
Great ice cream, cookies, and key lime pie. My family enjoyed the atmosphere and stopped in for dessert before the ghost tour. Would recommend.
Deserts were good , not a vast selection, but good. Over priced . Service wasn’t great, I understand it was busy when we went, but not very warm and friendly.
I hesitate to leave this three star review because the pie was actually GOOD! Very homemade, very good. The first time we went, the lady was nice and she gave us that good pie, and I don’t want to take away from that. HOWEVER, the second time we went, there was a guy working the counter and he obviously wasn’t very versed in what to do. My husband ordered the key lime milkshake and after some hesitation, the gentleman scooped some hard vanilla ice cream into a cup, filled the top with ice and limeade and gave it to us, all for about $9 IF you don’t leave a small tip, which we did. If you are wondering if you read that right, yes you did. The guy didn’t blend the shake AT ALL. It was a hard ice cream lump with liquid floating around it. We were flabbergasted. How does one drink this? Or do we eat it? Yeah, it ended up in the trash with a lot of disappointment. Needless to say, we won’t be coming back.

Great Ice cream huge cookies
Growing up in South Florida, id say Ive had a few hundred pieces of key lime pie in my life, at least. Mattheessen’s is definitely in the top few best pieces, maybe the best or tied for the best. The graham cracker crust is perfection, and the filling is a masterpiece. Id say it definitely is one of the best pieces of keylime pie 🥧 on earth.
The BEST key lime pie I have EVER tasted. I try pieces all over the place...the crust is amazing..the best part!!!
The pie is rich with a good lime taste, not overpowering ...Just right.
I highly recommend it!!!
Good ice cream and cookies just a little overpriced
One of the best coffees I’ve tried. Outstanding customer service. Super nice staff.
