My husband and I were the first customers of the day and were treated like royalty! The food and service was out of this world. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the pasta was the absolute best. The bread basket was excellent as well. We were treated to their delicious homemade key lime pie for dessert as we were celebrating our birthdays. When we come back for a visit, this place will be at the top of our list to revisit.
The garden salad and veal Marcella were superb. Definitely worth a trip to this restaurant.
The Hostess was not expecting us..a party of three. Our request for a booth/inside seating was not honored as I suspect they did not keep track of reservations. The house wine list was not readable outside; the one we inquired about was not available but a substitute was presented as an Italian wine, which as requested...but was a California wine when we read the open bottle. Food was delicious but had to ask for our side twice and it took 15 min after the entree was delivered before it was received. Won't go back again.
There must have been an epic meltdown in the kitchen. We waited an hour and a half for our food before giving up and leaving. Everyone on the staff we asked just said “It's not my fault!!” and blamed the computer system. We didn't care whose fault it was, we just wanted our food. We used to like this place but yikes, that was our last visit. Unbelievably bad experience.
Food was great and our server was amazing! Can't remember his name but he started at the restaurant 20 years ago.
Party of 12 everyone loved their dishes. Beautiful outdoor seating. Menu has lots of great sounding options. Only downside is they don't serve cocktails but their bellinis and sangria are good.
Service was exceptionally slow. We waited over 40 min for our appetizer having to ask for some bread after 30 mins. Food was a hit and miss. Tortellini was a hit, the filet was tasty but dry and our mussel appetizers was pretty good. A classic case of service affects the entire dining experience.
This place is terrible. We showed up for our 730 reservation on New Year's Eve which I had confirmed 2 hours earlier and they told me they had changed to a $150 fixed price menu. And this for a restaurant that usually has $30 entrees. No notice, no call and it did not say anything in their website or open table listing. And the hostess (owner) was totally rude. The place sucks. So do not go, do not support them. Tell them to go out of business. Also it was empty which tells you something when every other restaurant was packed .
The food was kinda bland and coming from New England it did not taste like Italian pasta. The menu was limited due to it being New Year's Eve. The lobster lasagna had no flavor., the prime rib was fatty and had too much grizzle.
No prior message about limited menu and $115 a plate we expected a nice meal. Pulled up to broken chair and wobbly extra table. Waitress was anxious and repeated how many people cancelled. We still Hung in hoping food would be great. Prime rib was huge but not cooked to right temperature, and tough 4 people ordered and later told me it was awful( only 1 ate). Chicken. Both people complained after leaving cold chicken. Salad was terrible. But deserts were wonderful. I was the only one to complain about food yet 6/7 others were too embarrassed to let them know. Hint. They did not eat the food huge prime rib left on plates disappointed in my favorite restaurant for the lack of support to reheat food, yet it wouldn't of mattered
Restaurantji Recommends
Donna is the best. Our food was just perfect. The wine is amazing. The deserts melt in you mouth. This was our second visit in a week.
Dined here on Christmas. Food was excellent, service was top notch, and overall a great experience. Nestled off Duval it exceeded our expectations.
$42 filet was cold and cut twice for wellness check(?), out of bread, “lobster” ravioli was fishy, service extremely slow
Arrived at the restaurant, and there was a sign posted that they were closed for the evening. Never received any communication that they were closing or closed. We have planned an anniversary dinner and had to scramble to find a different restaurant. The lack of concern for customers is appalling. Never would recommend this place.
Service was excellent, food was very good! Very nice outdoor seating shielded from passerby's !!
