Happened to walk by Pizza Joe's while on a walking food/cultural tour in Key West. I noticed the sign in the window that said all first responders, from anywhere in the country, eat free. I pointed it out to my Dad, who is a firefighter, and we made a mental note to check it out another day. Sure enough, we were treated to pizza when we visited a couple of nights later! Friendly staff and delicious pizza! Thank you :)

We visit key west every 2 months, this is a must for us. No fuss, walk right in and get a slice. Walk right back out and carry on till you find the next thing to do.

Pizza was... Okay, mediocre at best. The service however, terrible. Guy seemed like he was pretty upset about the group of brown people in his shop speaking in a foreign language so he was storming around the shop slamming things about. While being a first responder I appreciate the free slice, I would have paid for it to receive less attitude. When my order gets slammed on the counter in front of me and the owner is rude about the entire experience... I'll pass.I get it people have bad days and I don't know what he had going on, but it's the service industry. Get over it and treat your customers better. Won't be going back there again.

Pizza was good. But this is a cash only place. So if you don't have cash then you have to pay a $3.75 atm fee. Never got a hello or hi. I think the only words the employee said to me was the total then cash only, atm outside.

I walked past the store and the aroma stopped me in my tracks… it reminded me of growing up in New Jersey. This pizza is really good, and as an added bonus they proudly respect first responders with a complimentary slice of pizza. Love this place.
