A bouncer tried to fight my son for no reason at all, then stood on Duval cursing and calling names. When my son and his friend tried to leave they threatened to jump them while following them to the corner physically pushing them and one actually slapped my son. My son and his friend are Navy bound true patriots! They turned the other cheek and did not fall into the aggressive actions of the Rick’s Employees. It literally took my son’s friend exposing that he was carrying for them to back down. This was only done after they were followed, pushed and physically assaulted. These employees are a liability to this bar and will get the owners sued at some point.

Local here. Had to go to Rick's for a friend's birthday celebration. Drinks were a joke. Literally a full cup of ice with a splash of alcohol. I can't understand why people would go there. There are so many other choices nearby. Thankfully I won't have to go back.

Went with my little sister, her boyfriend, and our friend. They DENIED us service and claimed their ID’s to be fake which they were not. I assume they aren’t used to a Michigan ID but we were on vacation as many people are in KEY WEST. We told them take them then and the cops can come tell you they’re real and we’ll wait but then they refused to confiscate the ID’s they seemed so sure to be fake. Essentially kicked out with real ID’s😂😂

I’ve been coming to Key West several times a year for the past 5 years, and Rick’s is always my first stop during the day! The bartenders are absolutely incredible — friendly, fast, and always serving up strong, delicious drinks that hit the spot every time.
2025 has been the best year yet at Rick’s! The music is top notch now — it adds to the fun atmosphere without being overwhelming — and it’s a huge relief not to be bullied out of the bar by a belligerent old man on stage (finally!). The vibe is better than ever, and I’m already counting down the days until my next visit.
If you’re in Key West and want great drinks, great people, and a great time, Rick’s is the place to be. 🍹🎶☀️
