The location is right next to Southernmost Point te cafe. By day, it’s the busiest spot on the whole island, and the weather is beautiful for December, with a beach in front, ideal for families with kids, with both beaches and cafes.

Amazing service at the bar seating. Food was really good and we shared ours. Great views too- right at a small public beach. Was a wedding taking place next door so was beautifully decorated.

Mussels: good amount of mussels, but the volume of tomato sauce was too much. Otherwise, excellent.

Southernmost Beach Café has the view, the vibe, and the beachside location — but what really stands out are the people behind the bar, especially Doina and Saunders. They’re the kind of bartenders who make you feel welcome the moment you sit down. Friendly, upbeat, and always in a good mood, they bring the kind of energy that turns a simple breakfast or drink into a great experience. They’re also more than happy to put on whatever game you’re hoping to catch, and the nachos make a perfect snack during football. It’s become a regular stop for me, and it’s because of the way they treat their guests — with genuine hospitality and great conversation. Highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar and letting Doina and Saunders take care of you.

I had a 6p reservation but we ended up arriving around 430p. Service was very accommodating as they weren't busy. Lovely beach front location, roosters running around. Watch the queue waiting for pics at the Southernmost Buoy. Sunsets just around the corner and not visible from the restaurant. Asked for bottled water and eventually the manager found it after some confusion. Limited food menu, but everything we ordered was tasty and well prepared.

I come to this spot every Sunday, and while the food is solid, it’s really the bartenders who keep me coming back. Doina and Saunders — always upbeat, welcoming, and genuinely make you feel like you’re part of the local scene. Their energy sets the tone for the whole place. Whether it’s your first visit or you’re a regular, you’ll feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. The food’s good, but the hospitality is what makes it memorable. In a town full of great spots, this one’s earned a place in my weekly routine — and it’s all because of Doina and Saunders.

Amazing!! Our second visit, both times we brought our fresh catch to have it cooked for dinner - could not ask for a better experience start to finish!! Our server Diane was friendly and attentive, and helped us choose the perfect bottle of wine. She took extra time to consult with a manager for his recommendation and we loved his selection! Executive Chef Marisol hit it out of the park with preparation of our fish and creating the perfect meal. We enjoyed every bite, and took pictures to capture the beautiful presentation. Beautiful setting, amazing staff. Truly a perfect experience. We can not wait to come back!!

Exceptional food in a authentic environment. The only restaurant located on the beach in Key West. This embodies the characteristics of fine dining with a laid back vibe on the beach.

What a brilliant setting on the beach . The Classic Caesar was superb followed by Mahi and Swordfish . A good atmosphere and a relaxed setting which was most enjoyable . Staff were friendly and helpful at all times .

This cafe had a lovely beachside covered patio, but we only patronized the coffee bar. They had excellent coffee, including Cuban style specialties, and the barista was friendly and talented.

Had an amazing dinner here! The food was fantastic! My husband was looking for seafood & I wanted steak! We both got what we wanted!

Southernmost Beach Café delivered exactly what you hope for on a Key West trip: ocean views, great food, and service that actually makes you feel welcome. Diane C. was our server and she set the tone from the start. Friendly, attentive, and so efficient that we never once had to look around for help. She made the whole experience perfect. The food matched the service. Fresh and delicious. I’ve already been back, and the service was even better the next trip.

I ordered a filet mignon medium and it came out rare — completely purple inside. I sent it back, and unbelievably, it came out the same way again. It was obvious they didn't even try to fix it. The waitress couldn't have cared less — her response was basically, “Oh well, we can take it off the bill if you'd like.” No apology, no effort, no accountability. For a place that charges high-end prices, this level of service and food quality is unacceptable. I left hungry and frustrated. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Breakfast at Southernmost Cafe’ has always been great. I have been there many times during the last 25 years.
Unfortunately, this past Monday was very disappointing.
The breakfast menu offer “Corn Beef Hash” at $17. I normally really like corn beef hash. This was NOT the case this time. The bowl arrived with two eggs on top. Under the eggs, there was only “red” corn beef in big chunks. Absolutely disgusting. No required potatoes, and not mixed in small pieces. This was nothing anyone wants for breakfast, not even for St. Patricks Day.
It was NOT “Corn Beef Hash”.
Upon complaining, the excuse was “we make our own”? What?
It was not a standard Corn Beef Hash, nothing even close to it.
We were 3 persons ordering the same, and we all were very disappointed. One persons dish was omitted from the bill.
I suggest that the Chef of the Cafe’, visit an American Diner and order Corn Beef Hash, and learn how to cook this dish correctly.
Otherwise take this off the menu.
It is sad to be so disappointed with the cafe’. May be my last visit to this restaurant.
